I love these little shelves and while the "floating" feature would have worked perfectly for my little art corner, the bones of my house didn't agree. They can easily support the weight of items I want to keep at hand and help keep my desk clear for painting and art.The boards used are really nice! Real wood, looks really nice in the room. Matches my futon perfectly. I want to get more of these now that I know how well made they are (the holes in the shelves for the mounting rods are close to 16" on center - 15.75" I think.) and I see lots of places I could use them in my home.The problem we had: the studs where we wanted to hang the shelves were not spaced to the standard 16" on center. No! We had 15" on center where I want them and 17" on center to the next stud! So, while they would have worked beautifully, and looked so pretty doing it, I had to order shelf brackets - which turned out fine and probably increases the amount of weight I can pile on them.I'm very happy with them.

The screws didn’t work for my wall and just kind of dangled there so the boards were tilted and didn’t sit up straight. Had to take them down and not use them. Otherwise the boards are pretty…

I would give these 5 stars for look, but unlike the listing states they are NOT waterproof. I installed two in a bathroom. In less than a week, the grain is raised an discolored where water contacted the shelf, and it was not a lot of water. I would not recommend them for a bathroom surface unless you apply an additional sealer - I'm questioning whether they were sealed at all.I wish I could exchange the damaged shelf, but I am outside of the return window. False advertising on the waterproof durability, but otherwise a beautiful shelf.

The shelves are less that 1” thick. Height is listed as 1.95” in Product Specifications > Product Dimensions as of July 22nd, 2023

For those who want to put more weight on these shelves I would install the shelves per instructions. But, before installing them I would purchase these shelf brackets, and install them underneath the shelves to give them more support. They're rated up to 165 lbs.Get the 5.5" brackets to fit the shelves, since the shelves themselves are 5.9" wide. I used these shelves as a shower niche shelf (had to be cut and trimmed to fit bit since they’re solid wood, it wasn’t an issue) and as an over-the-toilet shelf. They’re sturdy and expensive looking. And they also ended up matching my white oak cabinets pretty well too!

The anchors provided do not work at all and just make huge holes in your wall. Shelves are also shorter than 2 feet long. Okay quality but so annoying as now I’m trying to find adequate anchors.

The anchors don’t work, they just spin. Now I have two good sized holes in my wall and not sure what hardware to use. Very frustrating!!
