Works!
I had fallen off my mountain bike and hurt my tailbone. Since I avoided the doctor for 6 months, my tailbone really hurt when sitting for a long time. The doctor recommended I sit on this all the time for several months. No pain! It looks large, but it fit in airplane and car seats. Several people in my life, who had no pain or sitting issues, tried it and thought they should be sitting on it too. It pitches your body slightly forward, so it's usually comfortable. It makes it a little hard on your back on a long airplane ride, so I would recommend lying back on a book or scrunched up sweatshirt for some lumbar support.

Great Cushion for the back - But Color IS NOT Navy Blue ... IS Cyan
I bought this cushion to relieve back pain from sitting too long in dining table chairs. My brother had one and I tested it out so I knew it would be firm enough but not hard as a rock and that it would maintain its angle so that my back would be properly aligned. My brother's cushion was cyan so when I was the product description I asked him and yes, he'd see that it was advertised as navy too. Anyway I love the cushion but it isn't Navy Blue. I do think it is a bit on the expensive side but didn't take the trouble to buy/return cushions that sell for less as I knew this one would be good.

Excellent product to alleviate pressure on coccyx
I have several of these cushions. One always accompanies me everywhere - on trains, planes and automobiles. I use it every day; in the office, on the sofa, on my kitchen chair. It helps to avoid pressure on my coccyx (tail-bone). Especially useful on long journeys when you are unable to make frequent stops to get up and move around. It alleviates stiffness and additionally, is very comfortable. It doesn't go softer with use; is always as rigid as when I purchased it. I have been using it for many years and sent them as presents to many friends, who all appreciate these cushions. This is a product that I highly recommend.

It Really Works!
I got this over the summer after having back surgery for a huge herniated disc at L5-S1 in August 2013. This was coupled with a bulging disc above the herniated disc. This cushion really does relieve the pressure normally placed near your tailbone area, because you place your bottom on it so that the hole in the cushion is where your tailbone is. Ever since my back surgery, when I'm having lower back pain, I take care to sit on this. In just the past few weeks, my back is been nagging me again. I have had to make several long car trips over the past week, and I noticed it's aggravating my lower back. This is silly on my part, but I brought the cushion with me to sit on at various events, but I didn't sit on it during the car ride. Stupid! Yesterday I had to take another trip of about 6 hours total in the car and sitting in a doctor's office for another 2 hours or so. I sat on the cushion the hole time and boy, did it really help me out! My back was feeling much better and you can just feel it relieve the pressure. The built in handle is also handle for carrying around. The only drawback is that, in my opinion, it's priced a bit high for what it is. But then again, what is your comfort worth? Certainly $50 or less.

Tush Cush ROCKS!
The Tush Cush is an AMAZING seat cushion that is ideal for any office desk job situation. It is great and works fantastic for anyone with back pains that needs to sit at a desk all day long. This has LITERALLY been a lifesaver for me and has made sitting for long hours at a desk MUCH more bearable. If you are wondering about the firmness of the cushion, it is VERY firm, which I like a lot. I bought a cushion once before that was much like the Tush Cush, but not as firm. So, if firmness is a must for you, this is it. I ride on the NYC subway every morning and carry it with me to work everyday. It's very durable and can take the wear and tear of traveling constantly. Fantastic product! Highly recommend it! Look no further for a great cushion!

Putting the Tush Cush on my office chair was like coming home again
Putting the Tush Cush on my office chair was like coming home again! I first tried the Evo coccyx pillow -- too soft with a slippery cover; it slipped off the chair and/or I slipped off it. Then I tried the DuraMed coccyx cushion -- it was way too hard for my hundred pounds and small frame. I learned the hard way, buying the two cheaper coccyx cushions first. Just about twenty years ago I'd bought a Tush Cush, and it served me well until last year, when a 300-lb. friend sat on it... and broke it. I'm poor now, and I opted for the two above-mentioned replacements in the order mentioned, before realizing that I'd simply have to spend the money for another original Tush Cush. The fabric isn't slippery at all. I'm not sure about the hardness; I think because it's a larger size and covers my chair seat -- I'm not sitting on any edges. It's perfect for me! As another reviewer mentioned, you get what you pay for. In my case, I practically paid for it twice, including the cost of the first two cushions; but it's STILL worth it! The Tush Cush is still the best. You, like I, might not NEED the larger size, but the size distributes my weight evenly... and what little padding I have is comfortable. I can certainly attest to the durability of the Tush Cush, my first one having lasted 20 years before it's mishap. I just received my new Tush Cush yesterday, and I thought I'd better do my review right away before I forget I'm even sitting on it! I'm finally sitting comfortably once again. As I said at the beginning of the review, it's like coming home again!

Substituted a major pain for a lesser pain
I bought this cushion to get some relief from sacroiliitis in driving two hour intervals. The cushion is really too wide to properly fit the flat bottom part of my car's U-shaped bucket seat, so the sides of the cushion rise up and put pressure on the back of my thighs. This becomes moderately painful after about 30 minutes, but the pain is tolerable. I do get relief with the cushion from the much more severe pain previously experienced in my tailbone that radiated down my right leg. I'm tempted to trim the sides of the cushion to better fit my car seat and give my thighs some relief.
