East to install and these were a perfect fit. All I needed to install these were a stick to hold the window open, a medium flat screwdriver to pry the old struts off the sockets and a block of wood to tap the ends onto the sockets' I used a little white grease to aid the install on the sockets. Now the window flies open and stays put!

I purchased these for my father-in-law. he has a 2006 explorer, and his back supports where going out, and sometimes hit him on the head. he finally decided to ask me if i knew where they sold them and i found these for him and placed the order they go here on time and where so easy to install. My father-in-law is now a happy camper. he does maintenance for a hotel and stores his tools in his trunk so now he can just pop the window open and grab something real fast.

The product fitted my vehicle but the instructions were so small, they were hard to read with ought a reading glass at my age. The old tired eyes are lazy. I gave up trying to read it and physically inspected the mounting on both ends. A small note: if you are using a flat blade to remove the mounting ball joint that's closer to the body of the vehicle, be very careful not to scratch you vehicle paint! When I have time, I know that I can provide a better instructions on how to install this struts with no damage to your vehicle than the manufacturers own pictorial instructions! One other caution, do not remove the cir clip that secure the the struts! Just slide it up in order to give it a wider opening for the ball joint to fit inside, while pushing it in. Slide it back down after the ball is inside and tug at it, just to make sure it does not pull out. The glass side is just a push and fit in my case. No need to remove the cir-clip.

Well made and perfect fit. Installation was super easy taking less than 5 minutes to complete for both of them! Now the rear window hatch opens quickly and stays open, even in cold weather, just like when I first bought the vehicle. How well these will hold up over time is TBD but at about 50% of the price of the major brand replacements struts and with a manufacturer limited lifetime warranty warranty I am very pleased with this purchase.
