They're great for blending oil paint on canvas, but they also do a great job in watercolor painting when you need to "feather" out a hard water line if you're using a tougher watercolor paper like Arches pressed cotton, which can stand a bit of abuse without pilling. Super versatile brushes, not too stiff and not too wimpy.

Love this brush for painting on rough texture paper and raw canvas as it is the perfect scrub blush to work paint into surface. Durable and feels comfy in hand. Moves paint around nicely. No shedding noted, good quality.
