The best flea comb are the little 2x 3 inch flat plastic ones your vet probably gives out free. They have a fine side and a more open side. Get a light colored one and you will never miss spotting a nasty flea on the comb. I use the comb and also close by on the table is one of those sticky peal-off lint rollers. Just lay the roller on the table, it stays put nicely and as you groom your little fleabag lay the hair filed comb against the roller.....The hair and bugs will stick to the roller paper. I make sure to mash any critters so they cannot escape. So when you adopt.....do this....use a flea topical treatment once a month.....Get a can of procor premise treatment....and start grooming your kitty. Be gentle and be loved. Good luck.be on the lookout for little sesame seed shaped beige colored particles found in the fur surrounding the anus of your newly adopted foundling....they are tape worm eggs.
