Thunderer Whistle 60.5, Small, High, Loud, Metallic Silver

Good size and comfortable mouthpiece. The couple times I tried it out it didn’t jam up but I haven’t really tried it with a sustained full throttle because it’s so loud and clear that it probably should come with a pack of ear plugs. Very happy with the quality so far. I have it on my key chain and it’s held up fine. Perfect for alerting the area that there are ill-intentioned folks around and definitely for those who want to be prepared if they need to suddenly notify those nearby that the area is getting attacked by the cold.🚨📢🧊

I have been trying to find a good whistle for Refereeing swim meets. I found that the cheap metal whistles have a bad taste and require too much air to be loud. We blow a lot of prolonged whistles and it tires you out using too much air. I got 3 whistles to compare and replace my cheapo whistles: The Acme Thunderer 60.5: Low airflow, loud without hurting my ears. Does not taste like metal. Classy look with a nice sound. This is my go-to whistle now. Fox 40 Classic Safety Whistle: Low airflow, loud and shrill. I prefer the Thunderer sound a bit more, this is my backup. Acme T2000 Tornado: High airflow, too loud and too shrill. You can't blow it softly, it only makes a sound when you blow hard.

My child needed this for use as a drum major for band. It is loud and high pitched, which is the point! Don't blow the whistle full blast inside the house! It worked great to get a couple hundred teenagers' attention. Size and weight is exactly what you would expect for a whistle. These are pricier than I would want to pay, but his band director said to buy an Acme so they must be the best.
