Thrustmaster T300RS GT Force Feedback Racing Wheel & 3 Pedal Set - PS5 & PC

So after a week of using the hori apex wheel then a few days later stopping by a friends house using his new sim rig omg what a difference. My buddy has a t300rs and after using his there was no choice but to replace the hori for the t300. So after a week of using the t300rs gt I am a happy camper. The force feed back was super responsive and the quality of this product is pretty on point. As soon as you start putting this bad mofo together you can already tell the weight and feel of this wheel is exactly what you paid for. The hori apex wheel had none of that but the feel was good just not like the t300. This wheel made games like dirt4 pc2 wreakfest and froza7 (turning in that game is still weird) feel amazing! I would highly recommend this wheel on sale. Another than that the price is a bit much on regular price point but still the quality and the performance is worth the price. Down side of this wheel is just after a few hours (2-4) of driving you might wanna wear gloves due to force feed back being soo strong in which you can lower in game or on the t300 control panel which you can download on the Thrustmaster site. The pedals are super strong and the attachment mount for tables are sturdy as hell if you put some muscle into. Make sure to put some wd40 on the bolts or mount because it will get stuck! This wheel get 10/10 ign from me

I spent about a month researching the various wheels available on the market for casual gamers (I love cars, but I don't want to spend 4 figures on a gaming setup). I eventually narrowed it down to this or the Logitech G923. I went with the Thustmaster for 2 reasons: 1. Belt drive is noticeably quieter while still offering decent feedback 2. The optional shifter is loads better than the Logitech version (gated, adjustable throws, adjustable tension) The wheel itself is a bit on the small side at around 11" but you get used to it after some seat time. Force feedback is progressive and I haven't had any issues of overheating after a few hours of use at a time. The steering wheel is pretty quick to re-center itself if you're drifting or in a spin. The paddle shifters are made of aluminum and work well. They do make an audible clack as you select gears, but it doesn't really detract from the driving experience. Just a note in case you are someone who likes everything silent. The pedals seem to be good quality although the plastic bases may eventually break if you're hard on your pedals during driving. Pedal range is good and I have no issues modulating throttle mid corner or managing the brakes for trail braking. You can add extra braking pressure with included metal bracket which enhances the realism. One thing to note : Update your firmware to the latest version to get the best experience. You will need to hookup the wheel to your laptop or pc to update, but the process is pretty quick. Definitely helped my experience during GT7 gameplay. Same thing applies to the optional shifter if you enjoy manually shifting. TL;DR - Great product, not too noisy, be sure to update firmware for best experience, and the optional shifter is excellent for those who love to shift gears manually.

Great wheel. I've also used the Logitech one and I like this one better. Its quieter and the force feedback feels smoother since there's no grinding gears. I haven't noticed any wear, or loss of power, but I dont use it often.

Great entry level simulator, definitely would not purchase at full price because it is a few years old at this point but I got a great deal on it while it was on sale. My only complaint after 8+ months of abuse racing and drifting is that the stock pedals it comes with always have had a bit of a squeak but I plan to upgrade to the TLCM pedals from Thrustmaster so it’s not huge deal for me personally.

I bought this for use on PC with iRacing and Project Cars and I'm very happy with my purchase- granted I got a really good deal thanks to Amazon's mysterious price fluctuations. The box arrives in a discreet outer carton. It looks like it's provided by Thrustmaster since the only markings, aside from shipping labels and tamper seals, is some small print that reads "T300 GT US". The inner box arrived in good condition with only minor wrinkling around one corner which is inevitable shipping a box at this size and weight. First use of the steering wheel and pedals reminds you this isn't plug and play. After mounting everything, you connect the pedals to the wheel, the wheel USB to the PC, and plug into power. Next head to support.thrustmaster.com, select your wheel, download and install the driver. Once installed, you'll have a Thrustmaster folder in your start menu where you can update the firmware if needed, and access a control panel and test the functionality. I had a problem where no matter how many times I calibrated the wheel it was off center by about 20 degrees. The Thrustmaster FAQ section for this model addresses this is the first question and it's easy to fix. The Wheel. The wheel mounts to the base via "quick-change" mount. It aligns to the base with a cross shaped lug that's keyed to align the S-Video style connector. There's a collar that you turn to snug the wheel to the base, and then a screw at the 6 o'clock position that you snug to lock everything in place. That screw allows for very little feel so you just lightly snug it up. Any amount of excessive force and I can see it cracking the collar or stripping out at best. There has to be a better way Thrustmaster! The base has a table clamp that looks interesting but I didn't use it. I hard mounted mine using the two mounting holes on the underside that uses two M6 bolts- which are not included. Thrustmaster warns not to thread your mounting hardware any more than 12mm into the base. Without knowing how thick your mount is, including proper length hardware would impossible. I got two bolts for $0.55 from a hardware store. The wheel has an outside diameter of 11". It's smaller than I was hoping for but fine. The wheel has a molded hard rubber surface with simulated perforations. It's very grippy but the thing I really dislike is the mold seam that runs around the center of the inner circumference. The mold seam in the upper corner of the horizontal spokes really irritate the inside of your thumb in a longer race. My last minor gripe is the polished blue wheel-center marker at 12 o'clock is very reflective and can be a little annoying. A matte surface ring would be so much nicer. The button layout is great for use while driving; everything except the L2, R2 requires only a slight shift in grip to reach (for me). The shift paddles are very easily operated without changing your grip. They are 5 1/8" long, made of metal, and curve perfectly with the wheel. The paddles have a kind of hollow, plasticky, audible click but with headphones I never hear it. They bottom out on a thin rubber bumper strip that gives it a nice feeling. There is a built in cooling fan that activates at some point. I never know when because I have headphones on but after a race, with no ambient noise, you can just barely hear the fan. It's very quiet and something you have to focus on to hear. It's no big deal at all. The belt drive of this wheel makes it a pleasure to drive with. It’s very smooth and quiet in operation. The Pedals: Just like the wheel base, the pedals have two mounting holes that require M6 screws; you'll have to buy these yourself for the same reason as the wheel base. Thrustmaster says not to thread into the pedal base more than 10mm. The base of the pedal set measure 15 1/8" by 13 1/8" and has a height of 8" at the top of the pedals. I really like the pedal covers on this GT version. If you drive in racing socks, you'll begin to feel the edges of the pedal covers which remind you to get your foot more on top of the pedal. They are not sharp at all- just an observation. I like that the covers are adjustable for position, but I don't like that the brake pedal isn't drilled for repositioning. However the large size of the brake pedal makes up for this. I generally don't use the clutch so I mounted the pedals offset to the left a bit to center the Throttle/Brake pedals for two foot driving. Each pedal has a block sandwiched under the pedal that you can flip 180 degrees for a more or less inclined pedal angle. There is also one conical rubber stop included. You can use it with any of the three pedals but it's designed to give the brake pedal a little more realistic feeling and it does. With the rubber cone installed, the brake pedal has about 1/2" of linear travel to contact the cone, then another 3/8"+ of progressively heavier travel until it stops. This pedal mod helps give more feeling for those times when you need to do a little panic braking without totally locking everything up. In conclusion, I think this set is a great value considering the previous T300RS came with only the Throttle/Brake pedal setup at the same price as this GT Version. To me, the star of this package is the wheel base. It’s smooth and quiet operation makes racing games, errr simulations, so much fun. The rubber wheel leaves a lot to be desired but you can swap this wheel with a couple others that Thrustmaster offers. The pedals get the job done and feel nice while driving- brake pedal with the rubber cone installed is very pleasant to use. Overall I’m happy with this setup out of the box and I would give this is 4.69 out of 5 stars. But I can’t, so 5 stars it is. ************************************** UPDATE: 7/28/2017 After 25~30 hours of use I'm enjoying it more and more. The seam on the inner circumference of the wheel really bothered me. Two minutes with a small, fine file got rid of the seam and created a nice smooth surface for my thumbs to rest. After wiping down with a multi surface cleaner it looks perfect. A non-issue now. After around ten hours of use (a few days) a squeaking noise began that sounded like it was coming from the belts. When you move the wheel slowly a few degrees or slowly back and forth the wheel would squeak. I could hear it even with headphones. It wasn't loud, but it's a sound that stands out. After another couple hours of use the squeaking went away and hasn't returned. The fan noise is still a non issue for me. With the FFB set to prevent clipping the base barely gets warm and while the fan is audible, it's nearly undetectable unless you focus on it in a quiet room. One thing I dislike about the fan is that it never seems to shut down unless you unplug the power to the base. When I shutdown my PC the red light on the base turns off, but the fan runs continuously at a very quiet, very low rpm. You can only hear it if your ear is near the base. I think it's the fan because of the way is sounds when I unplug the base. It doesn't stop, it sounds more like it winds down. No big deal, I unplug the power now when I'm done. The horn is not a functional button. More buttons, if placed well, is nice to have so I was disappointed that the horn wasn't available to program. I'm still enjoying the T300GT. The paddle shifters feel nice, the steering is very smooth and quiet, and I really like the conical brake mod this came with. *********************************** UPDATE: 8/5/2017 The constant fan is because "Forced Cooling Mode" is enabled. It can be disabled but I will leave it. Instructions and an explanation is in the Thrustmaster FAQ for this wheel. *********************************** UPDATE 9/10/2017 Have to drop from 5 to 4 stars. This is still a very nice setup, I really enjoy using it, but that squeak from the belts continuously comes and goes every several days. From what I have found online, I could send it in but the replacement will probably do the same. Also, there is a slight odor that smells like hot electronics that hasn't gone away since new. I don't run it hot, the base barely gets warm, and I'm not a high FFB user. *********************************** UPDATE 4/11/2021 So after almost 4 years of use I have had no long-term issues. There was a squeak after my first 20-ish hours that quickly went away. There was a hot-electronics smell after about 30-40-ish hours that completely went away. During my first year of use I swapped the wheel for the Sparco R383 and the pedals for some Fanatec load cell pedals and haven't looked back. The base system worked great for me but I wanted a larger wheel and load-cell pedals. So, as of sometime in 2018 I had swapped the wheel and pedals but the steering wheel base is going strong after almost 4 years and I have no inclination to replace it. Back to 5 stars!

I was so excited to get this new Thrustmaster wheel. I checked all the reviews and looked through forums. It seemed like this was the perfect racing wheel for my new PS4. I also purchased the open wheeler seat and a few games to go with it. Opened the box, set it up and the wheel felt great. I had the G27 with the gears and it always made a noise. The T300 RS GT was belt drive and was super quiet. The force feedback was strong and man did it feel great when I was driving. Project cars great, responsive. Drive club was great too. Then I picked up Dirt 4. It was perfect you could really feel the gravel, or pavement or dirt, and man if you hit a berm you really felt it. I put in 30 to 40 hours on this wheel and then all of a sudden I'm driving and what happened? No force feedback. Rebooted my PS4. Still no force feedback. WTH? This is a $400.00 wheel? Next day it completely DIED. Okay maybe I got a dud. Called tech support, dug up a windows machine and tried the bootloader thing to restore firmware. It looks like it goes through but NO force feedback and still no response. Ugh. Luckily it was just under 30 days, Amazon to the rescue and the new wheel is here in two days! Yay! I reinstall the new wheel and again Driving Bliss. I'm in heaven putting in 6-8 hours on Dirt 4. Excellent game wheel feels great. I take a break and fire up the ps4 the next day. I am waiting to login, and the wheel starts to go into calibration mode. WTH? This isn't right. Next thing the mode light goes off and now I have ANOTHER BRICK. The wheel is completely dead. TWO DEAD wheels in less than 30 days? I'm on the phone with tech support again, Try the bootloader thing to restore firmware. This wheel is just dead, no response. They recommend another windows machine but with windows 7. Send it back they said, we will make sure it works. Why can't it work properly from the start? I resurrect an old laptop with windows 7, but guess what? Nothing, Nada, it doesn't even try to bootload. Another DEAD Wheel. Thrustmaster needs to get a handle on their QC. Great product when it works, but two dead in less than 30 days. I would highly recommend a different wheel before I tried this one again.

I have been looking for a wheel for the past year and a half or so for my PC, as I wanted to get into sim racing. I was trying to decide between two other wheels before finally deciding on the T300RS GT wheel. I will be breaking the review down into the three individual components, the T300 wheel base, the T-3PA GT Pedal Set & the GT wheel which came in the package. T300 Servo Base: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- My first impression of the servo base was that it was a solid & well built. The T300 servo base does not come with an external power supply. In lieu of an external power supply, the T300 has a built in power supply, along with a cooling fan. There is a power cable, with a strange four tubular connections that come in the package. I am not sure if this electrical cable is proprietary to thrustmaster or if one is readily available at home depot or other home improvement store. The T300 has a dual belt force feed back system. This makes for a smoother, less noisy force feedback experience, as compared to those with gear driven system. From what I have experienced so far, the force feedback is very good. The force feedback not only let's you feel the "weight" of the race car, but also the bumps on the track, that you would otherwise not feel without any sort of force feedback. The package also came with a mounting clamp, should you want to clamp the wheel servo to a desk. It also has mounting holes, should you want to mount the wheel servo on a sim rig, although you would have to source the screws, as thrustmaster does not include screws for this purpose. The desk clamp is a bit finicky to get on, but once on, it holds the wheel servo securely to the desk without the servo wiggling/moving. T-3PA GT Pedal Set =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The T-3PA GT pedal set which comes in this package is also very solidly built. The pedals have thick plastic arms and an internal metal structure, while the pedal themselves are made from a solid piece of brushed metal. Again, the pedal set that comes in the package has mounting holes on the bottom, should you want to mount them in a sim rig. The pedals are heavy enough to where they do not move around on a plastic mat, which I have set under my computer desk. The only time the pedals move is if I happen to jam on the brake or accelerator suddenly. The pedals themselves feel great underneath your feet. Doesn't take a lot of force to even start braking or accelerating, but these settings can be adjusted in the thrustmaster control panel and in individual sim settings. GT Wheel -=-=-=-=-= The wheel that comes in the package is the GT edition wheel rim. The wheel is made of metal in the middle, where the electronics are housed) encased in rubber around the rim. The shifter is made from either steel or brushed aluminum. Again the rim is solidly made. The rim has thirteen buttons, all configurable in whatever sim you like to play. Unfortunately, thrustmaster does not have an app to where you can program your buttons to the way you like them like logitech does. Conclusion =-=-=-=-=-= Since I bought the T300RS GT edition, it has increased my enjoyment of sim racing as well as truck simulator (Yes I am a virtual trucker). I still ask myself how did I survive playing racing/driving sims on my PC with an xbox controller. If you are looking for a good beginner/intermediate wheel for the sim racer and you have the budget, go with the T300RS GT edition. You will not be disappointed, I sure wasn't.

The T300RS GT delivers smooth, realistic force feedback and completely transformed my sim racing experience. Setup was simple, the pedals feel great, and the overall build quality is excellent.

This is amazing! Have always been playing racing games since a kid and finally got myself a wheel. I was torn between the G923 and this so I ended up buying both to test it out. Suffice to say G923 will be getting returned. If you are torn between the two, T300 is so much better. Now the wheel itself is so smooth and the force feedback is amazing. This is the best bet here in Canada because Fanatec doesn’t sell their products here so had no choice. I’m sure fanatec are better than these but for the money, this is more than adequate. I won my first race in GT Sport using manual shifters and it felt so good. Won’t be using controllers ever again for racing. Right now during quarantine these things are going for the full retail price but honestly I’d say it’s worth it! Side Note: if you do get this make sure to have the fans running all the time because if they don’t run all the time, the motors get heated up and it might cause problems in the future!

Después de usar el Volante Logitech g29 por dos años y a dos semanas de haber probado este t300 puedo decir que estoy muy complicado y destaco principalmente el force feedback y la sensación que me transmite al sobrevirar o al subvirar la cual no sentía con el g29 y eso se traduce en mejores tiempos de vuelta. En general no tengo queja alguna y como puntos negativos solo podria decir que talvez me hubiese gustado tener mas orificios para tornillos de sujesion en la pedalera y el tacto del volante es bueno, pero luego de empuñarlo por un tiempo considerable se llega a sentir un tanto pegajoso probablemente por el calor y telvez el sudor y la friccion de las manos con el volante (lo cual no ocurria con el g29) pero se soluciona muy facil usando guantes y la experiencia de conduccion mejora.

When I received this, I had to take sick leaves at work just so that I could stay back home and enjoy this wheel. The force feedback is great, the build quality is good, the belts are quiet. The pedals are of good quality, the installation of everything was super simple. I also purchased the TH8A shifter for 17k which is a great add-on to the sim setup. I'm planning to get a handbrake soon. My only concern is the warranty. Amazon mentions 1 year warranty on the product, but I heard thrustmaster doesn't take warranties in India so it's up to the seller to replace the product for you. If you're deciding between the Logitech G29 and the T300RS, I'll give you my reasoning behind why I went for the T300RS. You will most likely hold on to your very first wheel for a long time without upgrading it since you've already spent a lot of money on it. So it's important that you get a decent wheel that will not make you want to upgrade. I heard the gear driven mechanism in G29 is very loud and clunky. Some sim racing gamers on Youtube said that the G29 felt like a toy once they upgraded to a better wheel like this one. And that's why I spent a little more and went for this one instead. The G29 is a great wheel but people say the T300RS is just so much better. Good luck on your choice.
