The Closest Thing to A Real Greatest Hits Deluxe
Well, this is the closest thing we have ever gotten to an acutual Chaka Khan Greastest Hits package. There was an "Essential" collection released in Europe a few years ago but sound quality was poor in spots.The Japanese Singles Collection sounds great and contains most of the songs that were hits in the U.S. from Khan's Warner Brothers catalog. The thing that sets this aside from other attempts at a Greatest Hits collection is this package contains a DVD featuring most of Chaka's music videos for the first time ever, including the seldom seen video for "Its My Party". There are some glaring omissions like "Cant Stop The Streets", "Love Me Still" and the original clips for "Aint Nobody" and "I Feel For You". But Im not complaining. The quality of the videos is excellent. The DVD region free which means it can be played on any DVD/Bluray player.Its a pity Warner/Rhino decided to only release this in the Japan market. One can only continue to hope at some point we will get a comprehensive boxset from the label that features all of her singles along with vault material and the remaining music videos. Meanwhile, The Japanese Singles Collection is the closest thing we have to a respectable Hits collection from Chaka's Warner years.

大ヒット曲が多いわけじゃないけど惹きつけられる曲が多いですね。今回、映像の方は見たことがないものが多く感動でした。チャカ・カーンをあまり知らない人には、是非、聞いてもらいたいし見てもらいたいですね。
