If you have dull, faded cabinets with scratches, worn off finish, gouges and other damage, it will make the problems much less noticeable but cannot work miracles. In areas without damage, the product really can restore an old finish the look almost new.Instead of looking bad 30 feet away, now my cabinets only look bad in a few areas from fairly close up (the damaged areas). If you want your old, distressed cabinets to look like new, the only perfect solution is refacing, but if you are not in a financial position to do this or would rather wait, this product can make a big difference for only a small investment. It's definitely worth the cost for the improvement it provides.Suggestion: if you have light oak cabinets, try using a blend of neutral and golden oak. I used a mixture of 1 part golden oak to 4 parts neutral and it made my light oak cabinets look a lot better without darkening the wood too much. If you use straight golden oak on light cabinets, you will darken the wood.

I purchased Restor-A-Finish, set aside, and forgot about it. I wanted to use on my livingroom end tables as wood finish was looking very tired and old. I do not want to replace as they are exactly to my liking. The tables are about 18 years old and in the meantime (since I forgot) bought Howard's Citrus Shield Paste wax that did not do much. I rediscovered Restor-A-Finish and wow, what a difference. The shine is back and the light scratches are diminished plus a white ringed stain came out. Other than refinishing the tables (or purchasing new), this will not cure-all, I know I will have to use once in awhile when it needs a touch up, but I am very happy with how it turned out. I followed the directions (I did not use steel wool pads) and was all pretty easy.

if you have anything to do with wood, you need to read up on linseed oil, a miracle product for wood. Can be used to feed the wood and protect it. Rub for scrub it on with a stiff brush. let sit until dry, sometimes a few days, then paint or use. Can be used to seal any outside wood, including decks, but do not spray. Scrub into pores, let dry. Can be used on cutting boards, furniture or any other product.

This product was ok. I may have been expecting a little more from it. It just darkened the lighter worn area a little. The smell was pretty strong, definitely work with a window or 2 open. I was concerned for my cats smelling this strong odor.

I thought I was going to have to replace my cabinets under the sink because they became dry and faded from getting water in them from the sink, but this product restored them to looking new. It took several applications, but the results were worth it.

Don't buy clear finish, really not worth. May be stainer mixed will work, but not sure.

After being recommended this by a friend. I just had to try it. The speakers cabinets in the photos were made in 1980, and needed to be restored.Enter Restor a Finish, a product that works wonders on old dried out veneer or real timber.I used a micro fibre cloth and a couple of dabs, then rubbed it into the grain and watched Restor a Finish do its magic. It took approximately 10 minutes to do the entire speaker and WOW what a result.Rub on then rub off....It is that easy.....Do yourself a favour and give this a go. There is a reason why the product has been around since 1969.Highly Recommended.

As with a lot of products like this I was sceptical, even after reading the reviews. However we'd just bought a second hand solid oak dining table & chairs, it's a lovely set but as with anything second it showed that it had been well used, fading in places, usual scuffs & scratches so I thought I'd give this stuff a go, got to say I'm absolutely delighted with the result, the table & chairs are like new, even said to my wife that if we had a mind we could probably sell on & at least treble our money. I only used a clean cloth for the majority but reverted to sponge scourer on more stubborn marks rather than the recommended wire wool. All in all a brilliant product.
