## Questions & Answers

**Q: How did this work when two people are watching? One with hearing aids and one with normal hearing?**
A: The Oticon receives the sound signal from the audio source (TV, etc.) via a fiber optic cable.  The Oticon has a fiber optic output that goes to the entertainment center / speaker systems.  The Oticon will broadcast to the hearing aids and the entertainment system will play normally.  Alternatively, the TV speakers can be turned on through the TV menu - no fiber cable output is needed from the Oticon in this case, only a fiber optic input into the Oticon.  I do not sense any delay or echo when I am listening through the Oticon and the Bose Sound bar is also playing.

**Q: Does this have all the wires needed to connect to a flat screen tv?**
A: Yes. It comes with optical and rca cables. This covers all the TVs I have encountered.

**Q: Do these need to be paired by a hearing professional or can the user pair them to the hearing aids?**
A: They do not have to be paired by a professional. The instruction book gives you step by step info.

**Q: I only use my hearing aid in one ear.  Is there an echo with the TV speaker?**
A: This may be able to be fixed in the settings of your TV.  There is usually a delay/sync setting to allow an external receiver for speakers, etc.  I was able to use this setting on my TV to perfectly sync my hearing aids with the TV to get rid of the echo.
