the most frustrating and laborious return process I've ever encountered
Poor design. Cap can catch on things very easily and come off. There is a much better design on eBay in the UK without this flaw. Also the most frustrating and laborious return process I've ever encountered in more than 10 years of using Amazon.

Fits perfectly. Even with the raised mouth piece. My only suggestion would be to add a piece so the lid stays attached to the body when opened and possibly a ring to attach the multi tool
