I knew it was in there so I looked for it and found it but it was not attached in any way to the actual frame and the frame is not in a box, but wrapped in thin foam and plastic wrap, so I can see how it would easily be lost. Also came shipped in a padded envelope which surprised me a little (being not overly protected and containing glass) but was no worse for the wear as a result.
