Worked great to darken my hair for a theatrical production and was very natural looking. It waded out easily and completely.

I have used Clairol’s Root Touch-Up for a few years now. It is easy to use and definitely covers my silver roots when I don’t feel like dying my hair or for longer stretches of time in between dye jobs. This last can seems to have been sitting for some time because the coverage wasn’t as good as normal. About 1/3 of the way through the can it improved. Definitely shake the can well between uses. Clairol is the best deal that I’ve come across since you get almost 1.5 times as much as other brands per can. It only loses one star because it does transfer to my trucker hats even when it is fully dried. Not something I love. It makes my caps look dirty on the inside. And if you scratch your head the color can transfer to your nails. . . Other than that it does stay in my hair until the next washing.

I have been using the spray touchup for a few years now. Use it in between hair dying. This brand is a much more valuable cost efficient per ounce versus other brands. It works great for root coverage when you do not have time to completely dye your head.

I tried the L’Oréal Magic Root Cover Up Spray, and it works well for quickly covering gray roots—it blends nicely and is super easy to use. The color looks natural at first and is great for a last-minute touch-up. However, I noticed that even after it dries, the product can transfer onto my hands when I flip or touch my hair. It feels more like a temporary fix rather than something that stays put all day. Overall, it’s convenient, but you do have to be careful about smudging.

This spray is helping me grow out the gray and I don’t look like a skunk.
