The distance feature seems confusing uses too much math for formulas for my liking. I also removed the illumination batteries from the binoculars as I doing want them leaking and messing up the unit. I placed them in a small plastic baggie and put them in the case so if they leak they won't ruin the binoculars. I like the eye glass feature for people wearing glasses as well the ability to individually adjust each eye's focus values. They seem very well made and solid. Also comes with a decent case, strap for case, strap for binoculars and a small instruction manual. I had yet to try and see if they float in water as advertised. I will be using these on our new 38' motor yacht as we cruise southwest FL and the keys. I like the cross hair feature in the viewing glass too. Would probably buy these again. So far, no fog issues and there are even markings that make it very easy to readjust to the settings you like if someone adjusts them. There are also markings that allow you to calculate distances of objects if needed. Hope I will never need to use that, but a nice feature regardless. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality and clarity, awkward to focus eyes individually *by I***R on February 7, 2025* I bought these for marine use (sailing), but also occasional bird watching. They are excellent for the price and I'd recommend them to others for the good quality range finding, built-in lit compass, waterproof construction, and overall packaging (lens covers, neck strap, also full binocular case. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of two things: the biggest pain is the fact that focusing is done individually on each eye piece. This is a pain when you are adjusting for closer or further objects which require a re-focus. Won't get a pair of binoculars like this again, assuming there are waterproof options which integrate "both eye" focusing via a central knob, and "offset" focusing for one of the eyes for eye-to-eye differences.
