Strong magnet, sturdy and stable. I use it to hold a portable profilometer. Instead of swapping out my indicator to check finish.

Extremely excellent quality for the price. The magnetic base also has also good holding power. I find this unit as good as my Starrett from the 1970’s.

The magnet in the base is really strong. It hangs onto steel things just fine. The knob for tightening the arm works fine as well. The little knob that allows you to grab onto your dial indicator is not great. You have to really crank on it to get it to hold, or to undo it. It’s cheap, so I don’t mind if it isn’t perfect. It’s good enough.

High quality it’s the same thing that I used at work.

I work with tolerances of +- .0001 and need to trust my mag base at all times I bought 2 back in December 25 it’s April 26 and the arms are junk will not hold a zero on my indicators do not buy spend the extra money for a good one

It works great, very stable, and works with all my various indicators well worth the money

Not nearly as sturdy as others. The swivel towards the clamp where you hold the indicator is too loose, you have to lock it into its highest mode for it to be solid. It's also the bigger, heavier, longer base. Just spend the $100 on the smaller name brand base.

Fantastic base. Does the same trick as the much more expensive ones and the mag base is nice and strong.
