Protective
This case has hard edges that offer impact protection for the device. It has rubber foot pads on the four corners to give it a stable stance and reduce unwanted sliding on flat surfaces. It has the standard tough UAG build quality. It has a rigid design. The fit could be a bit more snug but it is good. It latches on the front corners when closed. The installation of the cover went relatively smooth. I am happy with the case.

Fits perfectly, looks good.
UAG seems to be the only one to make a decent protective case for the Surface Laptops. I wanted this for automotive work so that my Surface Laptop 5 wouldn’t get destroyed. Makes the laptop a bit bulky but it fits perfectly and it does what I need it to do since MacBook isn’t compatible with most automotive software.

Price doesn't match quality
I wanted to spend extra money on a nice case since my work gave us new laptops and this just wasn't it. Mine is missing the pen that is advertised. It doesn't fit snug to the laptop in one of the corners. The little pegs on the bottom do not stay in at all. Really cheaply made for the price.

Happy with my UAG cover for my Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 metal keyboard
Though it does add weight to my Surface Laptop 3, I am willing to overlook that to add the extra protection of a UAG cover. I've had my Surface Laptop for a little over a year with no issues but have read where the screens can become damaged if dropped, bumped, or closed hard due to the edge-to-edge glass. I've managed to avoid any such issues so far and should not push my luck as I love my laptop. I looked for this product from UAG, My husband and I have used UAG smartphone cases for several years and trust their quality. I really like that I can keep my pen attached to the case, I've rarely used my pen as it's always in another room and not handy so now I look forward to having my pen handy at all times. I like how the screen now clips to the keyboard to add extra safety should the laptop drop while closed, this should keep the screen from opening, twisting, or breaking. Thank you for a beautiful and useful laptop cover UAG!

Hard plastic might work
As someone else mentioned, this is just a hard plastic case. It’s probably not very shock absorbent. It seems to be protecting my computer but I wouldn’t test the durability of this case at all.
