STAUB COCOTTE MADE IN FRANCE
El mejor para hacer pan. Maravilloso y de calidad muy superior a lo esperado. Made in France finalmente!

Not up to my expectations!
I love Staub, but with almost any Staub product purchased via Amazon, there will always be a fault. All the white cocottes I bought have visual faults. The black inside of the white cocottes all have white paint. Unfortunately, it was too late to return when I got to open them. For the price tag we pay for Staub, I would expect a flawless product but unfortunately not the case here!

It looks perfect enough to me.
I just received this enameled cast iron pot. It is small but not unusually small or too small, unless you need a very large pot.I always read the negative reviews before ordering anything and some are always just wrong if you know anything about the item being reviewed, but I pay attention to recurrent themes in these 1-star reviews. For this pot the recurrent themes were two. The first was that the pot is much smaller than expected, and that is just wrong. It isn’t that small and anyone buying this pot from Amazon should have a very good idea of the actual size by just doing a cursory review of the product description, or by reaffirming g other customers’ negative reviews. The second recurring complaint was that the pot arrived damaged, showing noticeable chips in the enamel coating, especially around the top rim of the pot. But, my pot arrived in close-enough-to-perfect condition. Maybe other customers’ pots were damaged in shipping but the pot is well packaged, so that would require very rough handing. The pot looks to be very durable and it looks to be easily cleaned, and, I would be truly shocked to learn that this pot is not a genuine French-made pot.It is beautiful and it will one day be passed down to one of my children and then eventually to one of my grand and great-grand children until someone eventually so mistreats it that it is no longer beautiful. Such is the life of heirloom kitchen cookeare.

Best value in the cast iron market.
I’m biased because I already own several Staub pieces, so I already love their design features, aesthetic, and durability. This was a tremendous bargain that I couldn’t pass up - a 4 qt for $99? I actually prefer Staub to Le Creuset because of the interior finish and inside lid design. These features alone cater to someone focused on cooking technique. My kitchen has white cupboards and cabinet doors and white/black granite countertops, so I purchased this pot in white. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Overall, enamel cast iron is lovely in any color by Staub (or Le Creuset), and they basically are kitchen jewelry. They go from stove or oven to table. Both Staub and Le Creuset cast iron are made in France, not China.Another benefit is durability. These pots are generational - when treated well, your children’s children will inherit this piece. Also, when purchasing cast iron, it’s important that the iron be thick. Cheaper cast iron pots are less expensive because they are thin-walled and poorly made. Cheaply made pots won’t cook your food evenly. For cast iron, you get what you pay for. That’s why this is such a tremendous value.I can’t recommend these enough, especially with this price.
