POWERTEC 70164 2-1/4" OD to 1-1/2" OD Reducer

Large end fits snugly inside dust ports on several tools and creates a perfect seal. However, ID of small end is NOT tapered (or is not tapered enough) so standard vacuum hose end attachment (which fits inside of adapter) does not form a seal. Would have to use a rubber coupler with tightening clamps or just duct tape to create proper suction. There is a similar product from a different manufacturer that fits as described, but this one does not.Note: I did not try to attach the vacuum hose itself (without the end attachment) OVER the adapter, as I did not want to disassemble my vacuum hose. It’s possible that may fit and create a seal if you are willing to take apart the vacuum hose.

I bought this product to adapt the primary dust collection port on my DeWALT Table saw to my 6 gallon Craftsman shop vac. This part fits snuggly into the table saw port. The fit is looser, but functions on the shop vac hose. This is because the shop vac hose is an unusual size for dust collection systems. I purchased this adapter as it had the best dimensioned drawing in the description, and that got me close enough to be functional in my garage. The plastic is sturdy and the part is good quality. A bit pricy -- but also a specialty type part.

I am using this with a portable HEPA dust collector to connect a small host that then connects to the dust port on my hand-held power tools in place of the dust bag. The only problem I ran into is that the adapter is a tight fit. I had to remove the label before it would fit into the hose connection port. It is still a tight fit, but it works.

Worked well with a Rockler Flexiport hose. Just to be sure it is well sealed, you may want to use a hose clamp.

Took a lot of searching to find the right adapter for connecting my festool dust vac to my sawstop job site with a 2.5 inch outlet. This did the trick. Careful with other adapters that seem to be the same. They are bigger and don’t work.

This is strangely hard to find. Needed a reducer to connect my job site saw to shop vac and could not find the right size at any hardware store. This for perfectly.

The advertised dimensions were not accurate.

Needed this to connect some tools to a vacuum. It fits and works well. It is sturdy and strong. No complaints yet.

Got this to fit a toolshed vacuum cleaner. It's not 2.25 inches. When it didn't fit I measured it and it was 2.35 inches. Apparently that makes a huge difference if the hole is exactly 2.25 inches. I ground it down until it fitted, but was disappointed that it didn't fit out of the box, and I had to mess about to get it to fit.
