Having recently bought a vacuum heat sealer, with rolls of plastic, I realised that most of the left-overs I wanted to keep would ideally fit in an A5 size bag, and this makes the job a bit quicker because you only have to seal 1 end.

I use them to store garlic and ginger in the freezer.

These bags are really very good. They are easy to use on the vacuum sealer and keeps food fresher for longer. Also doesn't take up much room in the freezer. It's a win win

These are nice vacuum sealer bags, the pre-sealed ends are done well and the bags are very sturdy. This is a large quantity of bags that you can use for sous vide or microwaving and also for portioning out and freezing bulk foods without worrying about leeching flavours and freezer burn.The price is pretty good if you don't mind the pre-cut lengths, you can of course cut these down using your vacuum sealer but you obviously can't go larger than the provided 30cm length. This is a good size if you are washing and re-using them as you can remove the sealed section and just reseal it after washing.You are basically paying 76 pence a meter here which I can't really fault considering these are on the thicker side of the bags i’ve used in the past. If you have the space and patience to buy vacuum sealer on rolls in much larger quantities you can get some deals out there for about 57 pence a meter.I personally like the customizability of the vacuum sealer bags provided on a roll and prefer the slightly lower cost of buying in a larger quantity. However there is definitely something to be said about the convenience of just grabbing a pre-cut bag and quickly sealing it without having to guess the right length for the portion you wish to vacuum seal.The only issues I had with this product was that the plastic bag they came in had burst open in the delivery box, so I have to wash them before each use as I have no real guarantee of the cleanliness of each bag. They could definitely do with using a better delivery storage bag, as the one given also cannot be resealed so you end up having 100 loose vacuum bags that you need to find a way to store, I just slapped a rubber band on them for now.
