If you have a really small phillips-head screwdriver, then yes, you can unscrew the 4 tiny screws at the back of the clock to remove the white case and the glass disk/cover. This allows you to access the back of the clock with the printed numbers, but I can’t see if you can easily remove the card with the numbers on it, as it’s screwed in via the clock hands. Hope this helps, as I could only see half your question. I wish there was a way for me to see the finished product - have fun crafting!! (It may or may not be 2am, and I may or may not have dismantled my clock in order to answer this question for you, Lol!!)

Q: Does the metal frame rust from humidity if the clock hangs in the bathroom?

Mine has been in my bathroom since receipt. There is no evidence of rust. However it doesn't seem to be a metal frame.
