Scotty349-BK Rodmaster II Rod Holder (No Mount), Black

I have a couple rods with larger butts and a net that won't fit in Scotty's regular rod holders. This larger diameter one is big enough to hold any of them. Works as expected with my Scotty bases and extensions.

The title says it all. I have FOUR Scotty Rodmaster II Holders. I use them for kayak fishing off my Scupper Pro. These are not really heavy duty, but they serve the purpose. Two of them are run off the front in the Scotty Triple Mount and two off the back out of Scotty flush mounts. I actually troll only two poles (in front where I can watch them). One of the ones in back is used for my gaff, the other a "spare" which gives me an extra hand where I can put the pole that doesn't have a fish on, to keep it out of the way. A durable holder from Scotty that's saltwater proof and should last many more years.

This was good enough for me to go back and order more. They work great with extensions for trolling on my kayak.

they work, if mounting on rails put some emery cloth under the rail mounts, it will keep them from slipping or turning

These meet or exceed my expectations. I don't know if they are what I wanted or not but am going to make them work.

I really like this rod holder. It is simple, and easy to get the pole out of. So far I've only used it for crappie fishing, but I think I'll also use it at the beach for trolling and holding the rods straight out the side of the boat.
