This is a very pretty book, but useless for a beginning knitter. I found one or two patterns for my small dog -- that is 2 possibles out of 13 patterns. So, you see my disappointment. I read the book all the way through looking for a guide to adapting the size of a sweater, but alas, there is none. Having read a number of reviews, I think other knitters were similarly disappointed. I planned on returning the book . . . but decided to keep it in my needlework library. You never know: I may learn how to adapt patterns someday. So, beware of the fact that your skill level will determine how useful the book is. (I feel the product description ought have stated as much. I don't know WHY it doesn't, especially since the Amazon "Look Inside" feature is unavailable.)

A lot of patterns. Adaptable to dogs of different sizes.

All dog lovers and knitters alike would benefit from this book. It's a beauty. Well written with beautiful photographs. Love it!!!

Good info on many knitting stitches and achieving correct size.This book made a great gift for a new puppy owner who also knits.

Well written patterns, (which is enough of a review to purchase especially in the knitting world) and would buy again from this designer. Alas, charts would have been appreciated.
