Beh - it's a wire wheel. Just be thankfull DeWalt is still selling them!
Granted, we are very lucky DeWalt brand is still marketing 8" wire wheels as it is very hard to find them now. I couldn't even find a store that carried something even remotely as good a quality. Comparing this unit to the very few I can find, this part appears of very good quality and I hope it provides me with many reliable years of service on my new 8" bench grinder as my old 6" one has.
