This item fits at least 2 sizes smaller than what you order. I ordered a 2x, my size. I had to shove my hands through the arm elastic. To compare, it was as tight as a blood pressure cuff fully inflated. The belt band on the back pulls the item very tight. Not returning item because I attempted to make alterations, as an experienced person with a sewing machine. I fixed the back elastic but the arm elastic is not the only issue with the sleeves; the sleeves themselves are very tight.

Humans rely on a contoured armpit that creates a tapered feel under the arm, yet leaves a full range of motion. Note in my pix, when arms are raised, the fabric creates a right angle. No matter if the back ribbon was tied. It was a struggle & uncomfortable to lift my arm. The elastic on the arms was incredibly tight. The fabric was lovely, a good weight to transition through seasons, and was not see through but there was more than enough. At 6' and a 185 pounds I was swimming in the body.

Very light, seersuckery material, so it is a great choice for summertime. I found the sleeves were tight so I carefully removed half the elastic and the shirt is comfortable enough. The length for me at 5’9” is perfect for jeans, or any other leggings etc...

I love this shirt dress. The fabric is very light. I live in a tropical climate and although the sleeves are long the fabric is so light that I don't get too heated. I didn't give it a full 5 rating because the elastic on the sleeves is too tight on the arm and the pockets (though I love that there are pockets) are kinda high up on the sides. I would give it a 4.5 if possible.

It’s just what I anticipated. It’s great to throw on around the house and look cool. I’ll wear it out at night when I’m feeling particularly bohemian.
