Surprisingly Effective for Such an Affordable Product
I've had an old injury (15+ years ago) reappear during martial arts training. I have been to the chiropractor and have done a little bit of physio to help strengthen my ankle. When injured, the pain in my ankle is acute and only appears when I put weight on it at a specific angle. Pain would last about 5 to 10 mins at most before it becomes numb. This ankle brace has been great at giving my ankle the right amount of support without taking away all mobility in my ankle. I am able to continue my martial arts training with less fear that I'll injure my ankle. I've looked online at other much more expensive ankle braces and without actually being able to try it on, I wasn't willing to take gamble on a product that may or may not satisfy my needs. For the $15 price I paid for this product, it was worth trying it out and I'm glad that I did. Works better than I expected and I'm happy that I won't need to spend $60 or more on another support brace. I may need to replace the one I currently have in the future since I'm actively using it in a way that would wear it out faster than usual, but even if I were to replace it (2) or (3) more times, it's still cheaper than many other ankle support braces available (which would also likely wear out during usage). I don't know how well this brace would work for chronic ankle pain but I am very happy with this purchase. Quick and easy to slip on and wrap up and it is very comfortable to use. I also haven't injured my ankle again since I've received the Bodyprox ankle support brace so it's definitely helping whereas before when I didn't have the brace, I injured my ankle probably 6 times within a 2 month period. It's important to remember to also consult a physiotherapist. This ankle support brace wouldn't work if I was using it irresponsibly and disregarded my own safety, so keep that in mind.
