This was my first album by Pantera. Still one of my favorites by them. With the heavy intro Great southern trendkill. To the mellow vibe and thundering riffs of Floods, with the amazing solos in floods, and 10s. A little bit of everything on this release by the cowboys from hell. To the heaviest of heavy to the quiet mellow vibe of suicide note pt.1 and then bleeds into the heaviest track on the album suicide note pt.2. But the highs and lows really rocking on the this album with pantera experimenting a little bit on this album to grand effect. Some of Dimbag's (R.I.P.) most underrated guitar solos on this album. A great pant era album by any metal standards. They always carried the flag for metal when other metal bands were going in different directions (Metallica:Load/Reload) at the time it was released. They never put out a bad album and always putting their heart and soul in every release. For any Pantera or metal fan check this album out!

Far beyond driven had ik al op vinyl. En ik had alle albums al op cd want in de jaren negentig waren de platen voor een best lange tijd niet meer populair. Wat ik nooit begrepen heb. En ben ook erg blij dat ze weer terug zijn
