Drugs like "tramadol" (ultram) destroy your body's ability to make healthy amounts of serotonin. Too much serotonin can be lethal--so take care if you have been taking such drugs and begin to take 5-htp. It can cause an overload. I would first wean myself off the filthy FDA drugs before you consider 5-htp. Xanax is another wicked FDA drug should be "banned" as it is in England now. 5-htp should not be taken until you wean off xanax (very difficult!) Stay with natural calming amino acids and your body will thank you. 5-htp will help with late withdrawal symptoms of xanax and tramadol too. **Q: There is Expiration date? Thanks** A: Yes there is, it is printed on the bottom of the container.
