A product that does what it's claimed to do.
Used it to shell the pecans off our tree. It shelled 70 pounds with the only problem being the rubber bands that ship with the unit do not last. Probably old bands having dry rot. Order a small bag of #60 rubber bands and they'll last a very long time. Other than that, this is a quality product.

Nicely cracked shells with a good chance of whole nuts to be picked out.
I have enjoyed learning how to use this cracker. There is an art to cracking a pecan shell with enough breaks to make it easy to pick out a whole nut and too much resulting in nut fragments. I've cracked around three gallon bags of pecans so far and really like the results. The only reason I gave four rather than five stars is probably as much my fault. There is a chance of rusting one of the parts if not cleaned up after use. Nothing that couldn't be fixed but a suprise when I discovered what was causing some "stickiness" in the action.

Does a Nice Job but a Little Noisey
Bought this for my husband. He likes it very much. It works really well, the only problem is the loud noise it makes when you release it and it hits the pecan, it scares my dogs....lol....But, they have almost gotten used to it.

Four Stars
it's rough on your hands due to the force required--also rubber bands break easily

Disappointed
This one seemed made of lighter weight material and was aligned exactly right.
