Toot Toot Beep Beep (All About Sounds)

I have been reading this book to my two year old grandson (over and over and over…) since he was several months old. It is his favorite and most requested book. When the front cover fell off due to constant use, he was very upset and demanded “Nana fix” immediately. When I told him I’d fix it in the morning because it was bedtime, he tried to fix it himself.That being said, as a children’s author myself, I found the writing was not equal to the illustrations—especially in the last two pages where Ms. Garcia uses the word “all” three times; once in each sentence. I think a good editor would have caught this and some of her verbs such as “trundle” and “hurtle” with respect to motor vehicles. Literature may be new to babies and toddlers but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be exposed to good writing.

My 18 month old boy is obsessed with cars and we read this EVERYDAY.

My grandson loves cars and so this is the perfect book for him. In fact it’s his favorite. I first checked it out at the library and renewed it several times before purchasing it. His first word was car.

I've bought numerous copies of this book. I have it memorized, that's how much all of my kids have loved it. As a parent I don't mind reading the book, because I love making the sound effects. I really like the illustrations as well.

I've had this book for my daughter for awhile now and recently bought it for my friend's son. They're both nearly 2 and love this book. The visuals and storyline are simple, but the book is fun to read. Surprising how many times I'm asked to read this book.

Our little one loves this book. And watching him repeat all the sounds is so cute. Awesome book!

My sons all time favourite book, there hasn’t been a day go by where we haven’t read it in the last seven months. Lovely rythym and fun car sounds. Instantly engaging.
