TLDR: Not actually tangle free, but still so much more convenient than 2 leashes. 100% worth the money if you have small dogs. Mine lasted 3 years of beagle abuse, and I'm buying another today. I've had mine for just under 3 years, used for my beagles (15-20 lbs). It's definitely not tangle free. It's actually a pretty active process of twisting the handle to keep the tangles out. Despite that, it makes my life so much easier from having to take two separate leashes. I'm able to hold one handle and control both lines all while still giving my dogs plenty of room to sniff. In terms of durability, it finally broke (50%) yesterday. The rubber coating on the handle started to wear down and fall off over time, but that's not a big deal for me. After 3 years of my menace dog sprinting full force and the line catching at the end of its length, it finally broke the locking mechanism, but only on her side. It did not snap, it's just the locking mechanism. It still works as a retractable leash, I just can't lock her in place anymore. The other side still works perfectly. I would say 3 years of abuse for $35 is a pretty great deal. Definitely recommend if you have two smaller dogs.

This leash is great!! I’ve tried dual leashes before but my smaller dog was always pulled around by my bigger dog and couldn’t sniff or poop in peace. This way they each have their own lead and i have control of each one. took me about a minute to get the hang of it and I love it!!! our pwalks are so much easier now! and it gives them plenty of room to roam unless i lock it. the only “bad” thing i see is the line could be tougher. my dogs are little so not an issue for me , but for bigger dogs it might wear out after a few years. but if your dog is a leash trained that shouldn’t be a problem.

Pros: This leash is actually great, functionally it works, it makes hiking with my dogs much easier, they are both sniffers and this gives some flexibility to sniff without being on top of each other and getting all tangled. I have a young dog and an old man, having some space is good for them. Cons: It does promote bad behavior in dogs, my dogs are all over the place when they're on this thing. I would never use this in a crowded area or taking them to the vet. You have less control of your dogs. For my situation it's for hiking rocky terrain and I don't fall from being pulled. I do not recommend this if you're trying to train or instill good behavior with your dogs. -The pictures don't show this, but once the retractable leash is extended about 2 feet, it turns into a shoelace type material. I thought the entire retractable leash was the orange and green material/thickness. It's not. I included a picture to show what I mean. This is definitely not a heavy duty leash, even a small dog could pull this and break it. I don't see it lasting long. Overall I returned it, I used it once, it was great, but know it's only a matter of time before it breaks. I think this is good for older/low energy dogs. I wish it could work for me!

I waited a week to leave a review to give it my honest opinion and the first two or three times I used a leash. It worked good worked how it was said to work now here we are a little over a week later and it does not untangle. It does not retract very good. I made a video for those to see. I was excited about getting this leash for my two rescue dogs but needless to say it’s junk. It’s not worth the $37 I paid the handle is not comfortable nor is it sturdy. It feels like it’s gonna break when they run out the door quickly , I definitely 100% do not recommend this for a medium to large dog clasp on the leash are very small as if it was a leash for a very small dog , and as you can see in the video, it does not adjust back to the correct way a double leash should as it claims it is a rotating/untangling/retractable leash . Also as you can see in my video the handle space is rather small I am a woman with small hands . I hate to leave a bad review for anyone, but I’m unhappy with this purchase

This is a great leash for two dogs. I have three Westies, and this makes it much easier to walk them all at the same time— two on one leash and one on a separate leash. I love that I have complete control of both dogs. I can click to lock either of the leashes, and it’s easy to untangle by just spinning the disk. I met someone that had one of these, and she loved it too. She recommended it to me and I’m highly recommending it to you.

So I bought this in 2017. I am writing this review in 2026 nine years later. I used this to walk two full size pit bulls for 9 years. The first two dogs were 97lbs and 40lbs. The dogs who have used this for the past six years, one of them is 98lbs and the other 74lbs. The lease worked well for them until last night when a cat ran out of the bushes. Both tethers snapped. I was annoyed initially. Then I remembered that the leash was quite competent for almost a decade. I think that's cool enough for a second review. Who knows how long it will last if you're walking, little dogs on it.

Update: I bought this March 2021. It is January 2022 now and sadly, this has already broken. The green leash won’t catch with the stop button, so I don’t have control over one of my dogs making the leash useless. I ordered another hoping this isn’t a problem that will repeat itself. The leash has gotten a lot of use, but not even making it a year is not a good sign. I am lowering my stars for this reason alone. Durability is important as I don’t want to just throw money away repeatedly. If it happens again, I’ll come update this review again. Pros: Strong, sturdy, attractive, easy to use, limit of 10 ft cord, solid tension on the cords, dogs love it!, I really like it a lot. Cons: Heavy/bulky, only 10ft cord, wish it had a little loop or hook on the handle bottom to attach my poop bag stuff. As you can see I put "10 ft cord" as a pro and con. For most of the walking we do, on sidewalks, neighborhood parks with trails etc. where there is limited room for the dogs to roam, this leash is absolutely perfect. I would like actually if they would sell another version of this with a 20 ft or 30 ft option for when I am taking them for walks in more open spaces. (They may not for safety reason?) But, I would buy both and use both depending upon the area we are walking. Having said that, 10ft is definitely a good length when we will likely encounter other dogs or bike riders or anyone we need to share the path with as it is reasonably easy to real the two dogs in without much effort. I am very happy with this purchase! My 2 10 lbs dogs I think are probably even happier!! Way better than fighting over which way to walk with the Y leash!

I want to love this leash so bad. It’s a great idea just poorly made. I purchased 2 that lasted a few months each. Eventually one side just wouldn’t lock at all. July 8th I just had a 3rd one delivered and it’s July 12th and one side is already broken. It’s now stuck locked in place, even though it’s unlocked. Requested a refund this time & wont be ordering again.

I was getting really annoyed at our 2 dogs tangling their leashes together on our walks and was daydreaming about something like this being created and lo and behold, someone already made it! It is really easy to use and made walking our dogs SO much easier and enjoyable. One of our dogs wants more freedom than the other too, so I love that the locking mechanisms are separate. I will be honest though, 2 of them broke on us within 1-2 months. BUT, their return/exchange policy is great and I like it so much that I did end up just exchanging for a new one because I wanted to continue to use it despite it breaking. Also the break is just that the locking mechanism on one broke, so there wasn't any worries with a dog escaping or anything like that. Our 3rd one has lasted us a long time, so I would recommend this to anyone with 2 dogs to walk at the same time. We did also end up trying the one with the grippy soft handle and the one without and personally prefer to non-grippy handle because the grippy handle started to feel sticky/dirty after a while.
