50 Classics For Relaxation

As I was shopping for an completely different type of unique music, I accidently came across this unbelievable classical collection of music,  50 Classics For Relaxation (2 CD) . I can always use quality "relaxation" music to play in the background of my home office, but the combination of top quality classical music, which is relaxing at the same time, is a true winner on any given day. The two (2) CD collection set arrived very quickly, was well packaged, easily opened and "Badda Bing, Badda Boom," was in the stereo. "HOLY MACKEREL!" This collection, with its variety and outstanding orchestral quality, far exceeded the description and my wildest expectations. The selection of the classical pieces, although not the entire piece, was superbly executed and organized. The cerebral result was exactly as the cover of the collection states, "50 Classics for RELAXATION." I am talking about the quality of music you can place your stereo CD system on loop and just let it go. With such variety and quality sound you will never get tired of listening to this collection. To say I was ecstatic about this find and purchase at this unbelievable price, would be a gross understatement. I realize this is a very minor point, but just looking at the CD cover photo of a Caribbean blue sky, turquoise waters gently lapping against a pristine sand beach, is enough to send me off to nirvana. Throw in the exquisitely performed classical music and "MAN," I am there without the hassle of going through the TSA. I really don't want to share this great find with anybody, however that defeats the entire purpose of this review. So yes, I highly recommend this classical collection,  50 Classics For Relaxation (2 CD) , for anyone who meditates, enjoys quality classical music or just good music at any level. After inserting the CDs, don't forget your Pina Colada with the umbrella, sun tan lotion and bathing suite just to complete the mood. Trust me! You'll be on vacation and never have had to leave the house. You'll love this set, I have no doubt about it!

One of the most relaxing renditions of classical music/ Well done on all levels! Not a great expert on lassical music but I know what I like and I like this cd very much!!

I guess people's definition of "relaxing" is not quite universal. I was looking for something calming and perhaps even something to play while I was dropping off to sleep. This is not it. Many of the selections may have "relaxing" segments, but often they have rousing segments in the same selection. So, just as I am nodding off, whoosh, I am wide awake again.In addition to the rousing segments, this CD has very poor audio quality. Reminds me of the old monotone 45 singles or 33 lp albums from my childhood. The vocals on the #9 and #10 selections on the first disc had the sound of an off pitch church choir--truly irritating and not at all calming.If you are looking for music to relax and perhaps sleep by, either a spa-like, slow jazz, or Gregorian chant CD would be better choices. But...make sure the audio quality it good, or it will grate on your nerves.The reasons for 3 stars and not lower? Well, it really was quite inexpensive, so at less than 20 cents a tune, I guess you can't expect too much.

Even though it's got the "as seen on TV" label on it, I figured I'd pick this up since the reviews were good. I can't give it a 5 star rating since the audio quality could be better. Not that it's poor, it's just not as good as the classic mixes that are on the highly-recommended lists. But then, don't get nearly as much as is packed on this set for $10. It's a really good survey of classical, a lot of standards on here, and for the most part, they're recorded/mixed very well. I doubt anyone will like everything on here, but you'll definitely get your $10 worth with this collection.

This is an okay Collection for me, could have been much more relaxing if tracks flowed in tempo, Also One CD has an error in track labels. The CD tracks appear to be the same in labelling, but are different when played. Probably that is why previous reviews report that the CD's are the same.Consider Reorganise the tracks sequence, you will have the a great collection.

It's pretty good overall. I play it to fall asleep to as my downstairs neighbor have little one going through their terrible twos. It gives me something else to focus on while falling asleep as opposed to a screaming child.I like all the songs well enough but some are a little too exuberant for real relaxation. Still, a great mix and a nice value.

I sometimes get on the freeway and get stressed out on the commute. But after I pluck in these CD's, I find it mellowing and the traffic mess doesn't bother me at all.....I see the trees, the bushes, and flowers along the road (while we are at a crawl) and it makes me appreciate nature....Good music throughout!

Not what I expected, although it does say 'classics' in the title, I didn't realize this was a CD primarily of classical music. I'm giving it away but it is a nice, peaceful interpretation of classical music.

Received the 2 disk set, each CD is labeled with different music selections, however when playing the CD's the same music is on both disks.I got ripped off 24 music selections. DO NOT PURCHASE.

We have currently a "heat wave" and I love the soothing music ---- helps to forget about trivial things like the weather !!!!!!

I had exactly what I paid for.

Expected much better.
