There's a tool for every purpose then there's a Dremel which is the tool for so very many purposes. I got it for a specific project but since have discovered how much more this tool can do (I know, crazy I had never used one before, now I can't imagine not having one). Glad I bought this set that had multiple accessories which was more economical and helped me use this tool to it's full potential. Yes there are similar cheaper, other brand models which you can use if you weren't planning to do much with it but the features and quality on this Dremel are superior once I compared it with those of friends. I think it will make it last longer and I feel it performs better with a variety of projects. Being able to adjust the speed is essential for control and the flex shaft makes it easier to work on smaller projects or engraving as you can hold the tool like a pen. I've used it to clean, polish, sharpen tools, carve wood, sand, engrave, do craft work and more. The kit comes with a nice small selection of bits which is good for a starter kit though I quickly found I needed more to do a wider variety of projects and I wore them out from use. Luckily you can easily get reasonably priced compatible ones online as I've found hardware/ big box stores don't seem to carry many bits. Very happy with this purchase.

This Dremel kit is basically the Swiss Army knife of tools. I’ve used it for sanding down wood edges, polishing metal, engraving glass, and even trimming dog nails. The flex shaft attachment is a game-changer — makes precision work way easier.It comes with tons of accessories and is powerful enough for all my little home projects. If you’re even a little crafty or handy, this tool belongs in your garage.

I have a Dremel wood carving obsession since retiring. I am really rough on these things. I bought this kit as a backup to the one I've been using and the price is unbeatable. They include several accessories which I use regularly, they would have cost me an additional $30. That means I got the Dremel itself for $60. You can't beat that.

I've bought two of these, they work great. I like the box it comes in, and the various tools to get you started.

I bought this to replace my old Dremel, which had to be at LEAST 25 years old. I didn't use it daily, and I replaced the brushes once, but it kept going till recently, when the motor finally burned out.The new model is obviously a whole lot nicer/newer. New speed control is a welcome addition.Not a fan of the new soft-case. I've had the hard-case with the tool tray for so long now, I think it's just the best/easiest way to organize bits.I had to remove 1 star from the review because of the new policy for the tool-light. For "some reason", the light no longer has a replaceable battery. When it dies, you have to buy a new one. Just plain stupid/greedy.

This rotary tool has been an excellent addition to my toolbox. It is powerful and precise, perfect for carving out the footing of vinyl flooring during my home projects. The attachments are easy to switch and the LED light helps a lot in low light spots. Everything comes neatly packed in the case which makes it easy to keep organized.I also use it to polish jade and it handles the job beautifully. The variable speed control gives great flexibility and the tool feels solid and reliable in hand. It is versatile enough for all kinds of tasks and has quickly become one of my go to tools.

I would say everyone needs to have one of these in their house. You don't really think about it, but I use this more than I ever thought I wood. I have used it to make small alterations to my door strike place, expand screw holds, some light polishing, and various other things. I specifically got this corded version because I really didn't want to deal with another device to charge and give you don't use it everyday, a corded version made more sense to me.
