It takes some torque to use these, but holy cow, they do a great job. Even if your muscles aren’t working properly and you can’t bend over very well, these clippers will do an awesome job on the thickest, most disgusting toenails. I had bought a pair that looked a bit like a small pair of pliers, and was using those, but it took a lot of work to get those to trim properly, and I had to do it over and over again. My husband, my kids, and I all have really thick toenails, and my husband has toenail fungus as well, and these go through anything and do a great job. I wish I had tried these first. Over the past several years I have bought a lot of clippers. Most of them worked for a time, and then became less effective, but these little rascals are in it for the long haul. They are sturdy and have some heft to them. The next thing you notice is that the cutting edge is very wide, and could probably slice through a Ritz cracker, although why you would want to do that, I don’t know! The point is that these will take on the thickest, toughest most disgusting nails. For fingernails, I need to get a smaller one. These are hard for my small hands to handle, but they are no problem for toes, probably because it’s a totally different angle, and because these are toenail clippers... It’s hard to imagine loving a pair of clippers, but I am quite fond of these. Sturdy, well constructed and they do their job. This is the beginning of a long friendship.

This clipper is solidly constructed! My opinion, careful thought went into the design. The barely noticeable concave shape doesn't easily slip from damp fingers like the standard wedge design. It allows for comfortable, precise control of the clipper from different angles. They're sharp! My nails are too thick and hard I had no problem cutting where cheaper ones have stalled trying or cracked my nails. The lever is heavily textured with etched lines and contoured for grip. The file is a nice addition and has actual emory board quality grit that seems permanent. The tip of the file looks like it won't miss any of that under nail crud. The brushed/polished stainless combo is a nice aesthetic. I claimed this pair for myself, I'll buy another for the house after the holidays.

These clippers are definitely not bad. Not at all! But they are also not as good as I had hoped. Functionally, they absolutely work fine, so skip this review if that’s all you’re reading it for. They’re even better than fine in that regard. The only thing I don’t like about these is the strangely bulky matte-finish top part with holes in it. It actually looked really cool in the pictures, but in real life it looked a little embarrassingly different from the rest of the components. I wish it was as long as the full body of the clippers, that the clippers were either uniformly shiny or matte, and I wish that they weren’t so heavy. I actually suspected they were on the heavy side, so that shouldn’t have been a surprise, but they felt somehow unnecessarily heavy due to only that top piece. The pictures are honestly not misleading at all, looking back at them, but I thought they looked cool in the pictures and I think they look kind of ridiculous in person. Just one man’s opinion! They work fine. OK, one more thing. They are advertised as having a wide opening, and they definitely do. However, it is hard for me to imagine anyone needing quite so much range of travel in their clippers for any kind of toenail or fingernail situation. I know there are some rowdy toenails out there, and there’s no doubt these can wrangle them, but I do kind of doubt there are any toenails as thick as the wide swing of these allows for. I might be wrong. Let this be a selling point if your toenails are super thick! Anyway, not my style aesthetically (though I thought they looked really cool in the pictures), but they work very well.

My old nail clippers got dull over the years, and I bought new ones. Not these. Not the Kohm. The ones that I bought were okay, and I waited a long time to write a review. Just before I did, the clippers totally fell apart. Can you say "1 star"? So I next bought the Kohm. It's been some months with them, and I am pretty happy. I was surprised at how heavy they are, but that turned out to be a feature and not a bug. Despite (or perhaps because of) the weight, they are nimble and easy to use. They provide finer and more delicate control. I don't feel the slightest risk when using them. I can't find a reason not to give 5 stars.

10 Stars to this Nail Clipper! Who thought for over 6 decades I have been using the "whatever "regular" brand of nail clipper having no clue there was something better! The first time I used this on my feet I was astounded that I was not struggling to "fit my nail" into the clipper opening. This clipper is heavy duty, strong, sharp and precisely cuts toe nails or finger nails beautifully. I now realize anything else I had been using was more like chewing my nail off, (leaving choppy ragged edges), if in fact I could even get it to fit properly. Yes I have issues with my feet which make it imperative to have a grooming product that does not cause injury, and works well. I JUST ORDERED THREE MORE, FOR MY SON, SON-IN LAW AND husband. They will initially laugh at me, and then be very grateful to have found this wonderful tool!

Excellent clippers-sharp, easy to use (don't have to squeeze too hard).

I have some thick nails on my big toes. This rascal can handle them. In fact, I carry one in my pocket for self defense. It's tough! It's scary! It'll take on the thickest toenail in the neighborhood! As for the price, how do you judge something that costs a few bucks, works beautifully, and will work like new in the next millennia unless some doofus leaves it out in the rain for several decades.

top quality japanese product unlike most of the other nail clippers of obvious origin. These are way way better and worth the extra bucks.

Ce genre de coupe-ongle est trop rare, c'est difficile à trouver. Il est grand, donc facile à tenir, et il ne rouille pas. Contrairement aux modèles bon marché des grandes surfaces. Attention, il coupe fort, il faut être précis. La griffe pour nettoyer sous l'ongle est aussi INDISPENSABLE.
