But I do like and have both. I set the timer to come on at 8am. It comes on in a sunrise ,ode for one hour and yhen goes into the full light for the next 8 hours , then rampms down to a sunset mode for the next hour , then completely off for the night. Tis light is completely adjustable as far as the light in tensity and the on off time you desire. You can set the intensity on the white , blue , green and reds as you so please. Having the light sit so low doesn't allow for great light exposure when you have a large tank. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Confusing "custom settings", but good light *by E***V on April 2, 2024* Short part first. The light is nice and bright, good LED density for the cost. Nice variety of programable colors. Has a built in clock you can program around. Overall I'm very pleased with this light for the cost and have purchased several. Cons: This lamp has one of the same issues all of these white label and generic designs do... The cheap collapsible legs. They fall out, they don't fit tightly, and often it can droop a big if close to maximum fit. Programming the "custom" settings for lighting is the only way to get the best features out of this light. The way you program it is quite confusing and convoluted. This is the ONLY smart lamp I have that I need to keep the instructions for. There is no way to know how to navigate the features without it. You even need the specific instructions for setting lighting color codes. Power plug... All of these lights are the same, they have a cord hanging down that has a plug in for the power adapter.
