Took an age to arrive, didnโt work, no refund. Avoid
1st time I tried to use it, it didnโt even cut half way through a bit of paracord. It started and then smoked and died. I went to make a return Amazon accepted after I explained what had happened. When I checked returns Amazon had made a return for the two replacement blades (which I hadnโt even mentioned to the) I ordered the replacements after having misplaced the original one that came with cutter๐๐ก waited again for them and had finally got around to using it. Tried returning the cutter and this time was told the return window was closed a few days (13th of July) back! Something dodgy going on hereโฆ? In summary BUYERS BEWARE!

Product functions as expected
I had previously given this product a one star review. The problem was that I wasn't using it correctly the first time. On the second use, I figured out that I needed to tape near the end to be cut and place it on a flat metal surface before cutting. The result was a clean cut and sealed edge at the cut area. If the seller had included this in the instruction guide, it would have saved me the poor experience I had earlier.

Great Hot Knife Rope Cutter
I wish I would have purchased this years ago. Makes cutting nylon rope easy but need to be careful not to keep it hot for too long - it needs to cool in between cuttings. Would buy again.

Poor description of product. Did not stipulate the operating voltage or number of pins on plug. Not suitable for domestic use in UK.
