This is a great, natural product. It has no odor like chemical sunscreens do. Also, the fact that it's made in the USA sweetens the deal a bit for me.A lot of reviewers on here seem to not realize that a major characteristic of chemical-free sunscreens is that they are thick, white, and tough to fully rub in. You know the dated white sunscreen on nose stereotype for lifeguards? That's from old-time zinc-based sunscreen. Modern zinc-based sunscreens use smaller zinc oxide particles but you still get a bit of the effect. The flaw is not with this particular product, but the nature of the substances used in it and all similar natural sunscreen products. If you want chemical-free sunscreen then you have to put in a little effort to rub it all in. It doesn't take a whole lot of sunscreen to protect you, and if you rub it in all the way, then you won't have a problem with it being white on your skin (just watch out for creases like inside of elbows, behind knees, and facial crevices--those need a little more attention to get rubbed in).Beyond a quality product, I received some quality customer service. The pump I received was defective so I contacted the seller last night and I got an email today saying that a new pump will be mailed to me tomorrow. Even without a functioning pump though, the bottle is flexible enough that I was able to squeeze some out to be used today.I would strongly recommend this product.

I bought this sunscreen in bulk last year hoping to feel good about putting something natural on my body but it was such a mistake. Now I have a gallon of expired sunscreen in my bathroom that still haunts me a year later. It doesn't spread well at all and never quite sinks into your skin no matter how long and hard you rub. It took forever to put on every time I needed it and then came right off in the water anyway. Since it's greasy and never rubs in it gets all over everything: the car, the couch, the fridge, the dresser, phone, kindle, etc. Every time I wore it someone would comment on how weird it made me look. My sister said it made me look purple. It kind of turns you the color of an oxygen-deprived newborn baby if that's the look you're going for. There are so many other natural sunscreen options out there. Do yourself and your family a favor and steer clear of this one.

The only reason I did not put 5 stars is that this product does take patience to apply. With that being said, it is the ONLY sunblock that works for me. I have very very fair skin which is of course also sensitive. This sunblock is worth its money. I like that I can apply without reapplying. I sunburn in the car. I can sunburn in about 10 minutes where I live outside! So, I love this product. I do put it all over, then wait a few minutes, and then apply my daily moisturizer which is Aveeno, which helps smooth it in too. I think it is good to use it at home before you go out. Then it can sink in before you get out in the heat.

I went to email the seller and one of the representative responded very quickly. My Question was : I have very sun and chemical sensitive skin, how likely this product will react with my skin? They answered, even the most sensitive skin can use this product because this is a physical sunscreen ( zinc oxide and titanium dioxide ) without any other chemical active ingredient. English : those two specific minerals stay on TOP of skin to repell the UV rays away. It is NOT meant to be absorbed by your skin. Therefore, it is normal to look "white-ish". Spreads well, not oily, not drying either, no smell, and very waterproof. You have to take your time in the shower to wash it all off. Very good quality for the price (i purchased the quart size). I love the quality and also the price. Very recommended for people who work under the sun or near the sun like me. Good for hiking, swimming, anything under the sun exposure. Very recommended. So far i have not experience any stinging or any skin reaction from the ingredients. Will buy the gallon next time.

We needed a zinc oxide sunscreen for my daughter's 20 year old appaloosa horse. He has a lot of white skin on his face and is prone to sunburn/blisters and he has some pre-cancerous cells. The "sport" sunscreens irritated his skin and eyes, and often made his blisters worse. Our veterinarian strongly suggested we start using a zinc oxide sunscreen, but they were hard to find. There were only a couple of options available at the local stores, and at $10-15 for a 6 oz tube, it was adding up quickly. So, I turned to Amazon and was not disappointed! This one works great and is MUCH more affordable! I think the math came out to $0.82 per ounce. It doesn't irritate his eyes and stays on for a long time. It also helps heal scratches and sores he gets on his muzzle and lips from grazing. I sent the information about this sunscreen to our veterinarian so she can recommend it to other horse owners' that have white-faced horses.

Didn't get sunburnt BUT my family and I got such bad dry skin! Alligator skin after 5 days at the beach. Even with daily exfoliation, my whole body is still white. If you have very fair skin and redheaded, you will not burn but it will take at last a week before you don't itch from dry skin. Even my 11 yo kid'a face is peeling from this sunscreen, not from a sunburn but from chemical.

I am taking my time for a final decision on this product. I have the fairest of fair skin so looking for the best spf coverage in a mineral based sunscreen. This one is really heavy and the white zinc color doesn't disappear totally as some but I like the fact that I feel protected. I'm using it when out in the sun hiking, biking, swimming, boating but not using it for a regular day. I have to wipe it off a bit after application to not look like a geisha girl. ha I will definitely keep using it in order to make my final decision of how I like it.
