Packing was well done all arrived safely within the time stated all in very good condition instruction very good went together veryon testing the draw length which should be 30lb it come out at 30lb looks very good overall I fitted a pin sight to the bow and started to use it which I found very easy to use and did exactly what it was supposed to used about 150 arrows on first test I am very happy with this bow and the price I will be buying another i would highly recommended this bow build quality very good

Thought long and hard about whether to risk purchasing this bow. Seen a lot of YouTube vids on The Black Hunter and was kind if skeptical it could be so good for the price.I was wrong!!Build quality is more than acceptable, yes you could nit pick but at this price range? I guarantee you could pay treble and pick the same issues!Shot 40 arrows through this right after initial set up etc and it’s a smooth, solidBow. Very little vibration, quiet and accurate and pretty much spot on a centre shot riser.Really can’t fault the kit!I will be purchasing a set of longbow limbs for this bow, maybe a lighter draw weight.Honestly incredible value for money!!

I recieved a split limb however a fast reply from huntingdoor and promise of replacement limbs justified a 5 star rating. The bow looks great.

Whilst researching for a good first bow for my friend, who is new to field archery. We were impressed with the glowing reviews of the "Black Hunter" takedown recurve. So much so, I deceided to get one!It is branded as Top Archery from Huntingdoor, but I'm led to believe that that these bows are all produced by the same manufacturer. From this source, the bow is not a cheap copy as some people may expect.I purchased a 40lb version and am very pleased. It is slightly heavier than my one piece bow, but that it to be expected with a takedown.The grip is very comfortable and the actionwood riser is stunning in appearance. It has a nice wide deep curved arrow shelf and no fittings for any "bolt ons" but that doesn't matter for someone who is intending to shoot off the shelf, instictive archery.Whilst waiting for the bow to arrive I purchased a Bearpaw traditional arrow shelf rest and plate as the square of felt supplied does let the quality of the purchase down a little. But that is true for most bow, whatever the cost.Since it has arrived I have also changed the supplied string for a Fast Flight version, which the bow will take, which enhanced an already smooth quiet bow.The "Black Hunter" is an exceptional bow and can be recommended to any archer. The choice of limb weight is obviously up to the purhaser, and it's a good idea for beginners to start with a lower poundage.The riser supplied equates to the older Mk1 version which have a different end shape than the Mk2 so are not interchngeable.UPDATE 16/01/21I had a chance to compare this bow with a Mandarin Duck Black Hunter yesterday. It would appear that the Huntingdoor riser is "chunkier" and heavier than the Mandarin Duck. However it is still a lovely bow in apperance and a great shoot

Waste of time and money I do not recommend as it doesn't fully lock and and stay together in 1 working piece with the bow! Nice idea!

Abgesehen von der langen Lieferzeit bin ich ziemlich zufrieden mit dem Bogen! Kommt von der Optik einem Falkenholz ziemlich nahe. Das die wurfarme nicht 100% symmetrisch sind hat mich geärgert, jedoch bleibt die Sehne größtenteils da wo sie sein soll! Der bringt auch gut Kraft mit sich, für das Geld echt in Ordnung :)

The facade is, of course, not "real" SNAKE SKIN. Not only would it be a shame to kill a snake just for your bow, but real SNAKE SKIN would not last. This is a superior quality camouflage material and looks absolutely beautiful!! The whole bow is a fantastic work of art. There's no way to mass produce such skill. I am a LONG BOW enthusiast. And I have been doing business with Huntingdoor for a couple of years now, and I have never, ever been disappointed. Their old school archery equipment is THE BEST you can buy. So, l ordered the fifty pound BLAKE SNAKE BOW.....wow. First let me say, the step up from forty pound pull on my old OMP bow to fifty pound with the Black Snake was not that different. The snake bow is just a tad shorter than my other bow, but the draw length was close to the same. I could hit right away! Even though I've never shot a 'no arrow rest' bow before....Well, I was shocked at the speed and power!! The travel rate of the arrow is almost too fast to see! GAD it was fast! I also got a nice case of Bow Slap. Please, wear arm protection for this bow. It is powerful. It is supper fast. And it burries my arrows over half way into my Block Target. Fantastic bow. Fantastic service. From shipment to delivery was about nine days! Twice faster than any other. And I have made some great friends at huntingdoor. They sent me points, bow cover, and other gifts for being a long time buyer. Huntingdoor is the only archery supplier I will ever deal with. And their arrows are the best wooden arrows for the price. Period! P.S. Thanks Elana for all your help with the endless questions and measurements! I love the bow! Now I need more arrows. Lol. Oh, did I mention that Huntingdoor sized and cut arrows especially for me, with the points I chose? And they have it on record. So when I need arrows all I have to do is ask, and I get the same kind every time! All you have to do is ask. Huntingdoor is the most customer friendly company I've ever had the honor of dealing with. Bar none.
