Lazzaroni Amaretti Di Saronno, 7.05 Ounce

Absolutely delicious. Well worth the money.

Growing up in an Italian family, these Amaretti di Saronno cookies were always served at Christmas time. After dinner, out would come a bowl of mixed nuts and half a dozen silver colored nutcrackers, chestnuts that we'd score with knives and then roast, and these special treats. They were a tradition that my sister particularly enjoyed, and I try to get them for her every Christmas. Over the years they've become more challenging to locate, so I was excited to find them on Amazon - especially since I can have them shipped directly to my sister's home three states away! Two almond liqueur flavored cookies are wrapped "back to back" in each a pastel colored wrapper. They are light and crunchy, sweet and delicious. We loved them with milk when we were children, and now that we're older we think they pair even better with coffee. For us, these special treats bring back a flood of wonderful memories, but you don't have to be Italian to enjoy them.

unique product, but good

Flavor is good, but the way the package was handle is poor to say the least. 80% of the product came broken and when I say broken I mean sand-crumble like. I was planning to gift this to my advisor who has Italian ancestry and I ended up just giving him one of the two cookies that came unbroken. Would not recommend!

Still the same good stuff as 30 yrs ago.

I love these cookies, but I’m glad they’re not a gift because they look like they are open!!! Poorly wrapped.

Despite some reviews posted here, mine arrived in perfect condition without a crumb out of place. They were perfectly fresh and intact. I usually only have them over the holidays but i may start ordering them more often. Absolutely delicious!

Cookies were OK but wrapper appears to have changed. You use to be able to roll the wrapper into a cylinder and light it on fire and it would take flight. It was a cool trick and a lot more special than the cookies themselves. Now, however, the trick no longer works. Too bad. Won’t be buying them again.

The cookies are good and authentic, BUT some of them cracked a bit ( 3 ).
