I didn't even think I would have the skills to beat it. But here am now, having not only got the PS4 Platinum Trophy, but the PS5 Platinum Trophy too. In fact I got a PS5 console especially just to beat the game again in better graphics, with the free upgrade. Not even entirely sure I have grasped the Dark Souls concept of skill set or build quality yet! I believe the difficulty is dependant on the player, because you can actually turn the difficulty up or down with the set up of the builds. Create your own challenges within the main challenge. Having been reliant on the new system of spirit ash summoning in my first play through, I then concentrated my Journey 2 campaign playing solo more, even beating bosses suffering no damage. Sometimes even beating bosses in the first attempt, or in 30 seconds! Took me 2 hours to beat the very first Tree Sentinel (solo). Now it's got to a point where I use the respawning Tree Sentinel in Leyndell just to test out weapons!
