I would estimate their thickness at about 1/2" at most. I was concerned that the extra depth would cause problems with plugs not reaching deep enough into the outlets, but that has not turned out to be a problem at all. **Q: Will it work with gfci circuit breaker type outlets?** A: No it will not work, the plug hole will not be aligned, since the test - reset buttons makes it different positioned.BTW its not efficient to cover the GFCI buttons in case if reset will be needed! **Q: Do these work with decora outlets?** A: Absolutely yes **Q: does anyone have the dimensions of these plates? I have extra wide covers for some reason in my house** A: I'm not sure about the dimensions.
