Best pot I’ve owned. Don’t miss out!
I am in my 50’s and have been a big outdoorsman and coffee drinker for most of my life. I have gone through many pots and drink ware designed for travel and the outdoors over the years. I’m very familiar with products that say they are “designed” for outdoor use, quality, and longevity. This product actually performs as advertised. I have made several pots of coffee already and I am extremely pleased. Makes excellent tasting coffee and keeps it hot for a long time. Easy to clean up! This item is perfect for camping, backpacking, or just using at home everyday. The pot is rugged, high quality construction, that will withstand years of outdoor use. It’s my new go to daily coffee maker from now on! In addition, the pot is designed in the beautiful state of Montana by folks who know about living in the outdoors. What more could you ask for?! THANK YOU BruTrek!

Coffee obsessed and love this thing
Best coffee press I've had. Very durable for outdoor or indoor use. The plunger is hard to plunge only because the filtering works so well - this problem is solved by lifting the plunger a tiny bit, then pressing down, then lifting a tiny bit then pressing down. Keeps the coffee hot as warm as any other insulated beverage container.

Lots of good coffee.....
Really big. I love it. works as well as any press system does. Keeps coffee warm. Glass presses lose so much heat. this does not. I use mine camping and the cold mornings zap the heat. this keeps the coffee warm. I bought the bigger size.

Plunger is defective
Didn't last a year. There is something wrong with the plunger . It doesnt seed properly so the disk sits cockeyed . It makes such a tight seal that it's difficult to press it because it builds too much pressure. Bought it last year in July and with all the difficult pressing it finally broke.

Coffee done right, in the bush or at home
Makes a good darn pot of coffee! Only reason for 4/5 stars is due to one of the vent seals breaking in half and falling out when I poured a cup. I had a spare top from another smaller BruTrek press (the rest of it suffered an unfortunate incident with a truck tire) which I salvaged the seal from and was back to making coffee. I use this daily and take it to work with me, bouncing around the work truck all day. It also goes with me camping, keeping my coffee hot on even the most frozen of mornings. This thing keeps coffee hot for 5 hours and hot enough for another 5. Just remember, the finer the grind the more pressure it will take to push the press down.

No coffee grounds get around the plunger.
Solid made, above on quality. No coffee grounds will get around the plunger and drop into your coffee. I do recommend.

Perfect!
I used this for the first time while camping this past weekend and I must say, it made thee perfect cup of coffee. It seals tight and kept my coffee hot for over 2 hours. I originally used an electric percolator, then switched over to a grind and pour-over while camping, but this is much more convenient to use and I love the color! I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of this heavy duty BruTrek coffee press. I also purchased the airtight canister and it works great to keep out the humidity and my coffee as fresh as the first grind.

The LID ruins the entire user experience!
2 stars for being well built and well insulated and making a good amount of coffee for camp for two people. -3 stars for its stupid lid. I’ve used this a bunch of times over the last couple years and every time hating the actual experience of using it. Getting the lid off and on is the main flaw, maybe mine is defective but the lid is super tight. I’m not an old guy either, it allows screwing on wrong, there are zero markings to align the lid so when you do eventually get it to twist down properly it doesn’t always put the spout at the front for easy pouring. Not really sure how you can screw up a lid but they managed to find a way. I’m also unclear how it wasn’t caught in R&D phase unless varying temperatures change how it unscrews. I’ve finally decided to buy a Yeti Rambler to avoid the whole issue and move on. Even after marking with a sharpie where to align the lid with the base it’s still aggravating to screw and unscrew. In reality there’s just no reason for it to be so tight anyway unless you’re the type to make coffee, close the lid and then throw it across camp, something I’ve considered doing on numerous cold mornings when the damn thing won’t align or is difficult to get off.

Stays hot!
It’s well insulated so stays hot for a long while. The extra plate on the screen makes it a little tough to press but, it keeps the grounds out. Very sturdy unit too
