These pliers worked great at the start of my power steering rack and pump rebuild project. Really they are so much better than using channel lock pliers! But not durable is another phrase from a review that I have to agree with. My pair broke, literally while reinstalling the last hose of the project and the clip, washer and gripper stud went flying...I found 2 of the three parts...but any time I had saved on using these purpose-built pliers was easily lost a few times over trying to fish the parts from the top of the engine block. At least it was on the last hose to be reinstalled.Maybe the cheapest set with the highest reviews isn't the best way to buy tools.
