Nice Looking and Well Made
I've worn Oboz boots when I can since ankle surgery from a running injury, my surgeon said wear some good hiking boots for more support. I've tried other brands I like too, but Oboz is a solid contender. Very nice looking well made boots, especially like the rubber toe cap, watch any brand that doesn't give you this in a hiking boot, it's needed, scuffs don't show and it's very durable. I change out all the insoles in every shoe, this one is no different for something with a little more support, but the original ones were honestly not too bad. I think most people would like these boots, I do, they look nice with jeans, with shorts and are comfortable to walk about in, I would call them a "light" hiking boot.

Hiking shoes.
My first pair of Oboz Sypes, mid leather hiking boots, I bought these boots a few days ago, before a big Minnesota, snow storm, I am glad! I did they are super comfortable! Very little break in time, Lots of traction! And they are water proof, and the material is durable! On these boots. I wear a size (12) bought a size (12) they fit perfectly! They are even warm boots, going to try snowmobiling with them on this weekend. I would recommend buying another pair of oboz hikers, in the future. THANK YOU! ✌️ Heel shoe fitters!

Good medium duty hiker
Good balance between dedicated bush and rock hiker to all-around wear. What I was expecting from reviews. Lightish, but with solid construction other than laces, lowish cushion but stable on obstacles, good not great wet stone traction. I wear a wide, and some reviews mention narrowness; it’s toe box is great for me, which is usually the trouble spot, (love Altras) but the narrowness for me is on the outside of the midfoot, but not a deal breaker. Good value and pretty rugged typical of Oboz.

Narrow
Nice shoe overall, light and comfortable. I ordered a wide shoe and they are very narrow even in wide.

Well worth the price
Really great shoe. Was concerned, initially, after reading some reviews stating to get the wide version, but after using them for several months now, I am glad that I got the regulars (size 12). Feet don't slide around inside the boot at all. And along with the great tread these have, it really making traversing down slopes (as well as up) much more confident inspiring.Build is great. I've really come to like the laces too , as I have had to re-tie a shoe lace only once.Does a good job keeping water out, with the only slight drawback being the breathability. Which is really going to be an expected sacrifice for having that waterproof liner, anyways, so not much of a "drawback", imo. Most I have sent on a pair of shoes, but I am already pretty set on getting another pair as soon as I wear these ones out.Oboz be making some pretty awesome shoes!

Oboz was made for my feet.
I hike every day. Short distances, 2-3 miles. Over sand, rocks, water, everything. High arches, wide 71-year-old feet, that support a bit of extra weight, not to mention "high mileage" knees and hips that played basketball through college. This is my third pair of Oboz boots and the second pair of this boot. The first pair haven't worn out yet but I like them so much, they fit me so well, they are so comfortable and durable, I wanted to get another pair before they stopped making this particular boot. I wore them in snow last week. My feet didn't get cold or wet. The inside back of the heels don't ball up and tear. And I don't recall a break-in period, they just felt comfortable from the get-go. I'll never buy another brand of boot.I may not get to this pair for another year, but I'm so glad I bought them.

Great for my needs
I'm a pretty casual hiker. My hikes are at different difficulty levels but typically they are no longer than 5 miles. In Colorado, trails are often muddy in the Spring and Fall, especially in the mountains, and very dry during summer. I was looking to replace my 12 year pretty heavy boots and my requirements were:- waterproof - a must!- lightweight, but still durable- good for day hikes (as I said, my hikes are no longer than a few hours)- comfortable so I don't need to take them off right after the trail. I hat carrying an extra pair of shows with me- not too expensive- good reliable brandBottom line - These boots check all the boxes!I haven't really heard of Oboz before but people have recommended. It looks like a brand that pay attention to details, from the packaging and website and to the boot itself, everything looks high quality. The boots are super comfortable right off the bat and I just wore them for a 3 mile hike that was a little muddy at spots, and then wore them the rest of the day and the first impression is great. The weather was pretty mild, around 65F and sunny, but my feet felt comfortable. I wonder if they can stay relatively cool during summer hikes too, since the boot is full leather, there is not much mesh or anything like that.Bottom line, I highly recommend. I hope these last as long as my previous boots (a well known brand that rhymes with "been").Things I would improve:- add reflective parts- add some mesh areas or add a vershion of this boot that is more geared towards hot summers.
