I started having tangle troubles right out of the box. I somehow managed to get them all undone, and they look pretty nice. I like the colors and the different settings. Just make sure you get some kind of reel to put them on at the end of the season or you'll end up with a ball of knots.

Pros - super lightweight and easy to hang. The remote control options are awesome and there are 11 modes you can have fun with! It has fun color options also!Cons - There is not a "female" end on the plug, so you cannot connect multiple strands together. Even at their brightest I knew they still lacked a little bit of a "pop" in their brightness. I ended up needing another strand but I ordered from a different seller and when I got them hung and plugged in, the other strand was noticeably brighter and has a female end that would allow you to connect multiple strands together.This is the other strand I ordered and I would highly recommend (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PPT84Q3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1)I would say these are a great value for the price and what you get, but I would suggest using these as filler or supplemental lights rather than "the main attraction." All in all, they work great for lining our house!

Bought 4 sets of the lights for a 9’ silver tinsel Christmas tree. The cords are perfectly hidden! The brightness levels will satisfy anyone’s needs.The biggest reason for missing a star on the rating involves the modes. The flashing modes are just plain idiotic!! They’re either a very fast flashing or some stupid pattern. None of them make practical sense unless you want a seizure.The remote distance is quite weak as others have mentioned.Two features I wish they had? The ability to select a single color. Flashing needs to be more twinkle where alternate bulbs flickered, not the entire strand.Overall, pretty decent lights for the money. Here’s hoping they last more than one season!

The Philips lights without a remote had more options for blinking/solid. Downside to the ones I got is they weren't LED color changing.These are nice for that, but they are VERY limited in options. Half of them are just white. 2 settings are likely to give you a headache with 5 blinks per second. Only two of the presets are even worth it for me.For the price, they're great. If you want more than basic settings, spend a little more elsewhere.
