Q: Is the 22" WSM ver different size than the kettle 22" ?

The kettle is a charcoal grill. The WSM is a charcoal smoker.

Q: Do you remove the bowl all together?

Yes I have removed the bowl, but keep the bowl, incase you want to do a cook with water in it...but I have removed the bowl when I use the fire-dial

Q: Does this work with your rib hanger?

I don’t have a rib hanger but knowing this is sits pretty much on top of the bowl I would think so. Because the ribs don’t dangle in the bowl anyhow. Hope that helps
