I have a diimer switch already. Can i use this just to turn the light on and off with no dimming?

I wouldn’t advise you to put it on a dimmer switch! The light comes with a remote which lets you dim the light! Take the dimmer switch out and replace with an ordinary standard switch to be safe !!
