It did feel pretty cheap from the moment I opened the box and took the parts out. The top shelve is very flimsy. Its a thin piece of metal that can easily bend out of shape. The rails for the drawers are the same. I had to straighten out the corner of one of the drawer rails to allow the drawer to slide in. You cannot put too much weight in this storage unit. It does its job to store items in it but when the storage drawer gets heavy enough it feels like the rail slices into the plastic drawer as you push the drawer back it.
