Dorman923-236 Center High Mount Stop Light Compatible with Select Ford / Lincoln Models

The Dorman Center High Mount Stop Light fit just like the factory version costing three times as much. The gasket seemed thick enough such that I did not use any sealer on the gasket; I have had no leaks.

I just installed my 3rd light today to fix an existing leak on my 2010 ford f150 supercrew. I was hesitant to purchase this brand due to some reviews. I'd like to honestly share my experience. First of all, I probably should have viewed youtube much earlier to determine the root cause for my leak before putting silicon around my rear window. The leak around the 3rd light is common. I read a few reviews here where users stated they used silicon and/or washers. Neither was used by the Ford mechanic on youtube, so I rolled the dice and followed his instrctions. I simply removed the old light, replaced all 3 912 bulbs, used windex to clean the area, and then used the 2 screws from the old light to reinstall. No silicon or washers. I did see an issue that could arise for some. You have to tighten the light just right. You'll need to push in on the light firmly to where there is no visible gap and tighten it until it sings its first note. You don't want to crack it by over-tightening. Once complete I took it for a test through the carwash. No more leak! I only used my old screws and nothing else. It worked for me. Anyone who has a leak due to this light after installing may need to verify that the area was clean prior to installing, the light's gasket is not damaged, and most importantly you'll need to push in on the light with one hand to ensure no gaps and tighten slowly with the other until you hear the first squeal. It will take less than 5 mins to uninstall, clean, replace the 912 bulbs, and install the new light (seriously). I think it's worth a try rather than spending much more for the factory light that obviously failed the test of longevity. I hope this helps someone.

I received this product for a discounted price because the description said may have minor cosmetic blemishes. I saw no blemishes on it and it was easy to install and works great.

Works great. People reporting that they still have leaks after replacing the light aren't looking in the right area for it. Most likely is from one of the four rivets holding the rubber roof gutter trim peices in place.

This item was just what I needed. Came just as described and was easy to install.

Fits just right and doesn’t sit ‘proud’ like other cheaper, after market products.
