Orange Crush 50W Bass Combo
Sweet little practice combo from Orange. Sturdy, well-built and well-appointed. EQ with midrange sweep lets you dial in all the tones you could want for its primary purpose. Plenty loud for the bedroom. Don't expect to rock out with this amp, and certainly not in a full band setting. And don't expect subsonic, chest-pounding thump either, because that's not what this amp is for. That said, the 12" speaker will push out some low-end chunk with authority, in context. The gain/blend feature is fantastic, and imo is what really gets this amp into awesome territory. Don't let fizzy youtube reviews fool you. It brings the fuzz. Sounds great, super fun, super diverse. Tuner is nice but is the one thing that feels a little cheap. Aux input is ok. Don't see myself using it much but it's there. If you know Orange, and you want a solid practice combo with a wide palette of tones and some grit, and don't need a lot of bells and whistles, give it a shot.Jan 2022 update: My needs changed and I have found the AUX input/headphone jack essential! Needing to learn a bunch of classic rock songs quickly, and in a living situation where I gotta stay pretty quiet, I've been running spotify on a laptop into the AUX input, and headphones from the jack on the amp, which cuts the speaker. I can hear myself playing along perfectly, the streaming audio quality is serviceable, and I can balance the sound using my laptop's and my guitar's volume controls. Amp volume knob controls what comes out of the headphones. I didn't anticipate needing this, but the Orange Crush met the challenge (and has since become my best friend). Score one more for Orange!

Really impressed!
Torn between this and the Fender Rumble and not disappointed I chose Orange. Purchased for my 12 yr old son as a Christmas gift after also getting him a bass guitar. This little 25w amp rocks. The tone is amazing without static and buzz and the built-in tuner (like my Fender Mustang) is also super helpful for him. It is loud enough for practicing in the house, though he isn't allowed to turn up past 3 because you can hear it outside on the street. It's light enough for him to carry into the Living room when we jam together. Really impressive quality for the price and it should last him for years to come.

Nice bass amp, good sound; nice features
I’m a beginner on the bass after playing the guitar for a few years now. Have a new bass to learn on and this new bass amp does the job for practicing at home. That’s what I’ve used it for so far and all I likely will use it for. Can go nice and loud, volume can go all the way up and play deep notes without degrading or distorting quality. Sure, I wish it could go even louder but probably want a 200watt mega amp too! I usually practice at 50% volume just fine and turn it up when I want a bit more power to the sound. Notes are clear. No static or buzz at all for me.I like that it has a little built in LED tuner right on this unit. You can use it to tune your strings to their correct tightness. Or as a beginner l, you can use it to verify the note you are playing on the fretboard which is really helpful for me. I know a little portable one also works probably, but this was a nice little extra to find.

Great amp
Tried some other bass amps but this is the product I was looking for. Very clean, great tone, plenty of volume, and very little static and hum—especially compared to the other bass amps I was looking at.

Great Amp for the money. Great tone. Reliable and Versatile.
As a music teacher I use this in a wide variety of settings and it gets used hard. Sounds great, easy to use and reliable. Great Value. Best Amp for the money. Great tone. Reliable and Versatile. it's not loud enough for a band and it has a hum when plugged into a PA system. The tuner works well.

Great sound!
I got this 25 watt amp to record but I think it might be loud enough to play in a practice room or garage. You could also totally perform with this amp in a bar or a club as long as they mic it up. It makes my low cost bass sound huge and powerful. I love it!

Looks great, sounds even better
First, let it be understood that this 50W bass amp would struggle to be heard in any live gig situation. Bass speakers need much more power, so don't make the mistake of assuming this 50W bass amp will be as loud as a 50W guitar amp. This is a very inexpensive and punchy bass practice amp that may also see me through a small pub gig.The cabinet is rugged and I think it will last me for years. It's not unforgivingly heavy. Even in my mid-sixties I can easily manhandle it, only needing my strapping young son's help in moving it up and down stairs. As well as the expected bass/mid/treble controls (and the mid is parametric) there is a really lovely feature called the Blender. For this reason I recommend you buy a latching footswitch you can stomp on to turn the Blender on (or off.) The Blender is a "bi-amp" simulator, which splits the signal into two parts. You get a clean bass signal through one part, and by tweaking the gain and blend controls you can introduce some "nasty" guitar-like distorted high and mid frequencies. There is a separate volume control for the overall gain.If you intend to play nice with your band you'll want to be able to switch the blender in and out easily during performance, otherwise you'll be annoying your keyboard player or guitarist for no good reason. If you play solo, though, go for it! Hendrix the s*** out of it, to paraphrase the Matt Damon character from The Martian. If you want your pedals to sit after the pre-amp, there is also an "FX loop", which is a common feature of bass and guitar amps. Otherwise just take your pedalboard output to the amp input. The headphone output features a cabinet simulator, which I'm given to understand can also be patched right into a PA or mixer as an alternative to conventional miking. Sounds cool, but I haven't tried it.There is an aux input (3.5mm) which is handy if you want to play along with a track from your phone or computer. Finally, if you have an active bass there is a button next to the input which will compensate by trimming a few dB from the sound level.
