The answer below this answer is wrong. 
This is a left hand zipper or female zipper as noted in the third bullet under "Product Features".   It is also shown in the third of four pictures. 
I replaced the zipper in a very expensive parka with this left handed one and it is frustrating and awkward because the previous zipper was right handed. I did not know the difference before I ordered this one.   This is a nice zipper, but a mistake on my part.

can a 30" zipper be shortened to 26"?

Sort of.  You need a "stop" and the two threading plastic parts at the bottom end of any zipper so that the pulls do not simply fall off the cut end.  So, you can really only cut the top end because you need the stop and threading on the bottom end, otherwise the zipper won't work.

You could cut the top end and sew your own stop by sewing across the teeth on both sides at the top, so that the zipper pull doesn't pull all the way off.  Over time, however, your pull might chew through the makeshift stop, depending on how often you zip all the way up, but then you could just re-sew your makeshift stop when needed.  You could also cut a middle section out and resew the pieces together so that you keep the stop and threading ends, but that is very tricky and requires really accurate cutting and reinforced sewing so that the teeth work properly across your cut.  This is not easy and even when done right the pull can still be "sticky" across the cut because it might not thread as accurately as it did across an uncut strip.

An alternative is to ask YaHoGa, via a direct email to them, if they would let you special order a size you want.  This might take more time, but could save you a lot of effort and possible errors of doing makeshift work.  Hope that helps!
